Abstract
Kondisi air tanah pada daerah pesisir berbeda halnya dengan daerah pegunungan maupun daratan, peningkatan pengambilan airtanah pada kawasan pantai memacu terjadinya intrusi air laut, atau masuknya air laut kedalam air tawar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya dugaan intrusi berdasarkan hasil penelitian sebelumnya yang menunjukan kandungan Mangan (Mg) di pesisir daerah Palabuhan Ratu. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu : (1) Mengidentifikasi kondisi Air tanah dan air laut pada pesisir di daerah Palabuhan Ratu, (2) Menganalisis Hubungan Air tanah dengan intrusi air laut pada pesisir di daerah Palabuhan Ratu. Lokasi penelitian berada di kawasan pesisir pantai Palabuhan Ratu Kabupaten Sukabumi di 2 kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Palabuhan Ratu yang meliputi 3 desa atau kelurahan yang berbatasan langsung dengan pesisir (Palabuhan Ratu, Citepus dan Citarik) serta Kecamatan Cikakak meliputi (Cimaja dan Cikakak). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksploratif dan deskriptif dengan pengambilan sampel sumur didasarkan pada ketinggian, penggunaan lahan dan jenis batuan. Analisis data menggunakan uji kualitas air serta analisis regresi linear sederhana yang menghubungkan antara ketinggian dengan parameter adanya intrusi (NaCl, DHL dan Salinitas). Hasil penelitian menunjukan tidak adanya hubungan antara kondisi air tanah dengan intrusi air laut di daerah pesisir Palabuhan Ratu. Tidak adanya intrusi air laut di daerah pesisir Palabuhan Ratu karena kuantitas air tanah masih sangat besar sehingga air laut yang memiliki berat jenis lebih besar dari air tanah tidak mendesak masuk, hal ini diketahui dari nilai kadar garam (salinitas) 0o/oo atau termasuk kedalam kategori 0–5 ppt (Salinitas air tawar/rendah), dengan nilai DHL berkisar antara (0,25 – 0,75 μ mho/cm) dan kandungan NaCl berkisar (2.30-13.41 mg/L). Kandungan NaCl yang ada dalam air bukan berasal dari air laut, diduga berasal dari jenis batuan dan tanah daerah setempat. Batuan yang ada di daerah setempat yaitu batuan gunungapi (plio-plistosen), batu gamping neogen (mio-plio) dan batuan sedimen neogen (mio-plio) dengan jenis tanah latosol dan alluvial. Saran penelitian perlu dilakukan pengujian lokasi penggalian sumur warga agar mencegah pencemaran dari limbah yang lain dan tehnik konservasi buatan seperti mangrove di sekitar pesisir untuk pencegahan adanya intrusi. Jupri, MT Ground water condition on the Littoral area is different with the one on the mountain or lowland. The escalation of ground water extraction on the coast area spurs the occurrence of sea intrusion or the entry of sea water to freshwater. This research is back grounded by the presence of intrusion notion based on the result of previous research which indicates the contents of Manganese (Mg) on the littoral area in Palabuhan Ratu. The objectives of this research are: (1) To identify the condition of ground water and sea water on the littoral area in Palabuhan Ratu, (2) To analyze the relation of ground water and sea intrusion on the littoral area in Palabuhan Ratu. This research site is on the littoral area in Palabuhan Ratu Sukabumi Regency at two sub districts which are Palabuhan Ratu sub district, which covers three villages that on verge with the littoral area (Pelabuhan Ratu, Citepus, and Citarik), and Cikakak sub district which covers Cimaja and Cikakak. The method which is used in this research is the explorative and descriptive method with the selection of well sample is based on the altitude, land utilization and types of rock. The data analysis uses the test of water quality and a simple linear regression analysis which relate the altitude and intrusion existence parameter (NaCl, DHL dan Salinitas). The result of this research shows that there is not any relation between ground water condition and sea intrusion on the littoral area in Palabuhan Ratu. The non existence of sea intrusion on the littoral area in Palabuhan ratu is because the quantity of ground water is still abundant, so the sea water which has the heavier type weight (berat jenis) than ground water is not spurring in, it is known from the salinity 0o/oo or it is included in to 0-55 ppt category (freshwater/low salinity), with the value of DHL is ranging from 0,25 – 0,75 μ mho/cm and contains NaCl around 2.30-13.41 mg/L. NaCl that exists in the water is not come from the sea water, it is expected from the rock types and the soil around that area. The rocks which are exist in that area are plio-plistosen hardcore, neogen limestone (mio-plio) and neogen sediment rock with the kind of latosol and alluvial soil. The suggestion of this research is that it needs to be conducted a location test of citizen’s wells excavation in order to avoid the contamination from the other waste and synthetic conservation technique such as mangrove on the littoral areal to prevent the existence of intrusion.
