Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui: (1) kemampuan siswa kelas X-2 SMA Kartika XIX-2 Kota Bandung dalam menyampaikan pendapat dalam pembelajaran diskusi sebelum menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Think Pair and Share dalam prapenelitian; (2) persiapan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan hasil refleksi dalam siklus I dan II pembelajaran diskusi setelah menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Think pair and Share di kelas X-2 SMA Kartika XIX-2 Kota Bandung; (3) kemampuan siswa kelas X-2 SMA Kartika XIX-2 Kota Bandung dalam menyampaikan pendapat dalam pembelajaran diskusi setelah menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Think Pair and Share pada siklus I dan II; dan (4) perbandingan kemampuan siswa kelas X-2 SMA Kartika XIX-2 Kota Bandung dalam menyampaikan pendapat dalam pembelajaran diskusi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Think Pair and Share pada siklus I dan II. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitiannya adalah 30 (tiga puluh) orang siswa kelas X-2 SMA Kartika XIX-2 Kota Bandung. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus yang terdiri dari tahap-tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa, dilakukan tes awal dan akhir pada tiap-tiap siklus. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kondisi awal kemampuan siswa kelas X-2 SMA Kartika XIX-2 Kota Bandung dalam menyampaikan pendapat dalam pembelajaran diskusi masih rendah. Dari 30 orang siswa, 24 orang siswa (80%) kriteria Kurang, 5 orang siswa (16,7%) kriteria Sangat Kurang, dan 1 orang siswa (3,3%) kriteria Cukup. Setelah diusahakan melalui tindakan pembelajaran menggunakan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Think Pair and Share pada siklus I dan II, kemampuan siswa kelas X-2 SMA Kartika XIX-2 Kota Bandung dalam menyampaikan pendapat dalam pembelajaran diskusi meningkat. Dari 30 orang siswa, dalam siklus I terdapat 18 orang siswa (60%) yang kriteria Cukup dan 12 orang siswa (40%) kriteria Kurang. Sedangkan dalam siklus II, 3 orang siswa (10%) kriteria Baik, 23 orang siswa (76,7%) kriteria Cukup, dan 4 orang siswa (13,3%) kriteria Kurang. Abstract This study was conducted to determine: (1) the expression ability of Class X-2 Kartika High School XIX-2 Bandung in learning discussion before using Think Pair and Share Type of Cooperative Learning Model, (2) the preparation, action, observation and the reflection in the cycle I and II learning discussion after using Think Pair and Share Type of Cooperative Learning Model at Class X-2 Kartika High School XIX-2 Bandung, (3) the ability of Think Pair and Share Type of Cooperative Learning Model in delivering opinion in the discussion after using Think Pair and Share Type of Cooperative Learning Model in cycle I and II , and (4) comparison of the expression ability in the discussion before and after learning using Think Pair and Share Type of Cooperative Learning Model. This research is a classroom action research. The research subjects is 30 (thirty) students of Class X-2 Kartika High School XIX-2 Bandung Academic Year 2012-2013. This classroom action research was conducted in two cycles comprising the steps of preparation, action, observation and reflection. To measuring the ability of students, conducted tests at the beginning and end of each cycle. From the research it can be concluded that the initial conditions of expression capability of Class X-2 Kartika High School XIX-2 Bandung Academic Year 2012-2013 in learning the discussions are still low. Of 30 students, 24 students (80 %) has Less criteria, 5 students (16,7 %) has Very Less criteria, and 1 student (3,3 %) has Self criteria. Having labored through the act of learning use Think Pair and Share Type of Cooperative Learning Model in cycle I and II, the expression ability of Class X-2 Kartika High School XIX-2 Bandung Academic Year 2012-2013 in Bandung in the learning of discussion is increases. Of 30 students, in the first cycle, there are 18 students (60 %) has Enough criteria and 12 students (40 %) has Less criteria . While in the second cycle, 3 students (10 %) has Both criteria, 23 students (76,7 %) has Self criteria, and 4 students (13,3 %) has Less criteria.
