Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa tunarungu kelas 8 SLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain one-group pre-test post-test. Analisis datanya menggunakan uji wilcoxson. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan sampel jenuh, artinya jumlah sampel sama dengan jumlah populasi. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa di kelas 8 SLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung yang berjumlah 10 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis yang peneliti ajukan diterima, artinya ada pengaruh model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa tunarungu. Pengaruh tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil kemampuan membaca yang meningkat secara signifikan pada semua sampel. Kemampuan membaca siswa yang diteliti adalah pemahaman literal dan pemahaman interprestasi. Pemahaman literal diukur melalui menyebutkan judul cerita, memahami isi cerita sesuai fakta, menyebutkan tempat kejadian pada cerita dan menceritakan kembali isi cerita sedangkan pemahaman interprestasi diukur melalui menentukan ide pokok cerita. Implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa model cooperative learning tipe jigsaw dapat diterapkan oleh guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa tunarungu yang memiliki karakteristik yang sama dengan sampel penelitian, sehingga pembelajaran menjadi menarik, menyenangkan, dan efektif.; This research aims to know the influence of cooperative learning model type of jigsaw to increase the ability of reading comprehension of deaf students 8th grade SLB State Cicendo Bandung. Research methods used in this research is a method of experimentation with the design of one-group pre-test post-test. The analysis of the data using test wilcoxson. Research of sampling was carried out using a nonprobability sampling technique with saturated samples, meaning that the number of samples is equal to the number of population. This research population was students grade 8th in SLB State Cicendo Bandung that add up to 10 students. The results of this research it can be concluded that the hypothesis that researchers submit accepted, meaning that there are cooperative learning model influences the type of jigsaw to increased the ability of reading comprehension of deaf students. These influences can be seen from the results of reading skills increased significantly on all samples. Reading skills of students who researched is the literal understanding and comprehension of interpretation. Literal comprehension measured through mentioning the title of the story, understand the content of the story according to the fact, mentioned the scene in the story and retell the story while the content measured through interpretation understanding to determine the main idea of the story. The implications of the results of this research is that the model of cooperative learning type jigsaw can be applied by teachers to improve reading comprehension of deaf students that have the same characteristics with research samples, so that learning to be an interesting, fun, and effective.
