Abstract

Sebagai makhluk sosial, individu perlu memiliki keterampilan sosial untuk dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungan sosialnya. Salah satu keterampilan sosial yang harus dimiliki adalah self disclosure. Individu yang terampil dalam melakukan self disclosure cenderung akan lebih terbuka, lebih mengenal dirinya, lebih mudah mengatasi masalah, lebih percaya diri, melepaskan perasaan bersalah, meningkatkan hubungan yang semakin bermakna, dan terhindar dari resiko psikologis. Tujuan penelitian menguji bimbingan kelompok teknik homeroom untuk meningkatkan self disclosure pada siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperiment dengan the non equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII SMPN 29 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2018/2019 dengan sampel sebanyak 14 orang yang dipilih secara non probability sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan rata-rata skor self disclosure sebesar 41.39%. Rekomendasi ditujukan kepada guru BK agar dapat mengimplementasikan bimbingan kelompok teknik homeroom dengan pengembangan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan karakteristik siswa. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengembangkan kajian terbaru mengenai bimbingan kelompok teknik homeroom dan self disclosure berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini.; As social beings, individuals need to have social skills to be able to adjust to their social environment. One of the social skills that must be possessed is self disclosure. Individuals who are skilled in self-disclosure tend to be more open, more familiar with themselves, easier to overcome problems, more confident, let go of feelings of guilt, improve relationships that are increasingly meaningful, and avoid psychological risks. The purpose of the study was to test homeroom technique group guidance to improve self disclosure to students. The study used a quantitative approach with the quasi experiment method with the non equivalent control group design. The study was conducted on class VIII students of SMPN 29 Bandung Academic Year 2018/2019 with a sample of 14 people selected on a non probability sampling basis. The results showed that there was an increase in the average self disclosure score of 41.39%. The recommendations are addressed to the BK teacher so that they can implement homeroom technical group guidance with development tailored to the needs and characteristics of students. Future studies are expected to develop a recent study of homeroom and self disclosure group guidance based on the findings of this study.
