Abstract
Masjid merupakan bangunan tempat untuk melaksanakan ibadah wajib bagi umat muslim seperti shalat lima waktu dan shalat Jum’at serta pun ibadah sunnah lainnya. Kebutuhan masyarakat dalam memenuhi kewajiban ibadahnya perlu memperhatikan fasilitas-fasilitas yang menunjang aktivitas pengguna dengan beragam kebutuhan. Perencanaan dan perancangan bertujuan untuk meredesain Masjid Besar yang berada di Kecamatan Lembang dengan aksesibilitas fisik seperti ram, guiding block, handrailing, lif, dan tangga yang aksesibel tidak hanya bagi pengguna yang awas (normal) tapi juga bagi penyandang disabilitas netra, daksa (pengguna kursi roda), dan manula. Jumlah penyandang disabilitas di Kabupaten Bandung Barat (KBB) berdasarkan pernyataan Kepala Dinas Sosial KBB (2018), mencapai 5.762 orang yang tersebar di 16 kecamatan, salah satunya kecamatan Lembang. Oleh karena itu, tema perencanaan dan perancangan masjid yang dipilih adalah Arsitektur Ramah Penyandang Disabilitas. Konsep ‘ramah’ menjadi dasar upaya-upaya untuk mendukung aksesibilitas bangunan masjid bagi penyandang disabilitas netra, daksa (pengguna kursi roda), dan manula dengan mempertimbangkan karakteristik dan kebutuhannya agar dapat beribadah dengan mandiri. Masjid Besar Lembang yang telah diredesain diharapkan mampu menjadi bangunan masjid yang dapat digunakan oleh semua kalangan. Mosque is a religious building where Muslims do the five times prayer, Friday prayer, and other Sunnah worship. To fulfill the worship obligation comfortably, an architect must has to pay attention to the facilities that support the users activities and needs. The planning and designing process is purposed to redesign the Great Mosque which located in Lembang sub-district that focuses on the facilities to accommodate disabled users. The facilities is physical accessibility, for example: ramp, guiding block, handrailing, lift, and others facilities that ease disable users (visual impairment, orthopedic handicapped, elderly, etc). The average of people with disability in West Bandung District according to the head of social department (2018), reach 5.762 people which spread in 16 sub-district, and one of them is Lembang sub-district. Because of that, the planning and designing concept of this mosque “Architecture Disable-Friendly”. “Disable-Friendly” is the basic concept of the mosque to support the accessibility for disable users (visual impairment, orthopedic handicapped, elderly, etc) with consideration of the characteristics and the needs so that the disable users would be able to do the worship independently. The redesign of Lembang Great mosque is expected able to be the mosque that can be use by all Muslims.
