Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas kepemimpinan pengelola kelompok bermain berlandaskan gaya kepemimpinan dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepemimpinan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kelompok Bermain Melati Putih, Kelurahan Cigending, Kecamatan Ujungberung, Kota Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mendeskripsikan gaya kepemimpinan yang dilakukan oleh Pengelola Kelompok Bermain Melati Putih; (2) mendeskripsikan faktor yang mempengaruhi kepemimpinan Pengelola Kelompok Bermain Melati Putih. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 4 orang. Berdasarkan temuan dan pembahasan penelitian, peneliti mendapatkan hasil bahwa (1) Pengelola Kelompok Bermain Melati Putih melakukan dua gaya kepemimpinan, yaitu gaya kepemimpinan demokratis dan gaya kepemimpinan laissez-faire; (2) faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepemimpinan Pengelola Kelompok Bermain Melati Putih di antaranya adalah komitmen Kelompok Bermain Melati Putih dalam menyelenggarakan PAUD bagi anak-anak masyarakat yang kurang mampu, perubahan yang terjadi pada para pendidik seperti cara berpikir para pendidik dan upaya mereka meningkatkan kompetensi setelah mengikuti kegiatan-kegiatan peningkatan kompetensi, dan penggunaan sumber daya manusia yang sebagian besar berasal dari kalangan keluarga Pengelola Kelompok Bermain Melati Putih. ABSTRACT THE LEADERSHIP STYLE OF PLAYGROUP MANAGER AND ITS AFFECTING FACTORS (A Case Study in Melati Putih Playgroup Ujungberung District, Bandung City) Fariz Anwar Fauzy This study discusses the leadership of playgroup manager based on leadership style and its affecting factors. The study was conducted in the Melati Putih Playgroup, Cigending Village, Ujungberung District, Bandung City. The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the leadership style carried out by Melati Putih Playgroup Manager; (2) to describe the factors that affect the leadership of Melati Putih Playgroup Manager. The research method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Participants in this study amounted to 4 people. Based on the findings and discussion of the study, researcher found that (1) Melati Putih Playgroup Manager performed two leadership styles, namely the democratic leadership style and the laissez-faire leadership style; (2) the factors that affect the leadership of Melati Putih Playgroup Manager include commitment in providing early childhood education for disadvantaged children, changes that occur to educators such as their way of thinking and their efforts to improve competence after participated in competency improvement activities, and human resources which mostly came from family of the manager.
