Abstract
Skripsi ini berjudul "Tari Hudo` Dayak Bahau Mahakam Hulu Apo Lagaan Studio Seni Samarinda Kalimantan Timur" dengan Arbiansyach Jueng, pendiri Studio Seni Apo Lagaan di Samarinda Kalimantan Timur, sebagai narasumber utama. Tarian Hudo` termasuk dalam tarian sakral yang dibuat berdasarkan ritual dayak tradisional, khususnya dayak bahau. Secara tradisional, upacara hudo` diadakan setiap tahap selesai (menanam padi) di bidang September-Oktober setiap tahun. Artinya, memohon berkah Tuhan bahwa padi yang dibudidayakan akan menghasilkan banyak tonjolan untuk membawa kemakmuran bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada latar belakang dan perubahan fungsi di masa lalu dan sekarang. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang kemudian ditinjau melalui beberapa teori pendukung. Teknik triangulasi data juga digunakan pada hasil observasi, wawancara dan Studi Dokumentasi. Dapat disimpulkan dari penelitian bahwa Tarian Hudo` Dayak Bahau memiliki perubahan fungsi dari tarian yang hanya sebagai tarian ritual tradisional di masa lalu sebagai tarian hiburan di masa sekarang. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini juga membahas latar belakang seperti gerak, musik, pakaian dari tarian Hudo`. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa tarian Hudo` memiliki keunikan dalam gerakan dan bagaimana itu berubah sebagai tarian penghibur di masa sekarang.-----------This research essay is titled “Hudo` Dance Of Dayak Bahau Mahakam Hulu Apo Lagaan Art Studio Samarinda East Borneo”with Arbiansyach Jueng, the founder of the Apo Lagaan Art Studio in Samarinda East Borneo, as the main interviewee. The Hudo` Dance is included in sacred dance created based on traditional dayak rituals, especially dayak bahau. Traditionally, hudo` ceremony is held every stage finish (planting paddy) in the field of September-October every year. Its meaning, begs God's blessing that the cultivated paddy will produce numerous bulges to bring prosperity to the community. This research is based on the background and the change of function in the past and present. The method used was descriptive with qualitative approach which then reviewed through some supporting theories. Data triangulation technique was also used on the results of observations, interviews and Documentation Studies. It can be concluded from the research that Hudo` Dance of Dayak Bahau has a change of function from dance which is only as a traditional ritual dance in the past as an entertainment dance in the present. Furthermore, this research also discusses background such as motion, music, clothing from Hudo` dance. The result of this research is that the Hudo` dance has some uniqueness in the movements and how it change as an entertaiment dance in present.
