Abstract

Sistem pendidikan terbaik adalah sistem yang melibatkan mutu (quality) dan keadilan (equity) secara bersamaan. Kedua aspek ini memberikan kesempatan seluas-luasnya bagi siapapun untuk mendapatkan layanan pendidikan bermutu tinggi. Akses pendidikan, proses pembelajaran, dan hasil pendidikan tidak boleh dipengaruhi oleh keadaan sosio-ekonomi di luar kendali individu, seperti jenis kelamin, etnis, tempat kelahiran, bahasa, kekayaan, atau disabilitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran secara mendalam tentang praktik peningkatan mutu berkelanjutan (continuous quality improvement) dalam menerapkan pendidikan berkeadilan (equity-based education) di SMAIT As-Syifa Boarding School Subang. Tesis ini mengacu pada penelitian berbasis kualitatif studi kasus yang dilaksanakan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi guna menganalisis pelaksanaan siklus Plan-Do-Study-Act dalam meningkatkan quality dan equity dalam pendidikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sekolah berada dalam kategori mutu dan pendidikan berkeadilan yang baik; The highest education systems are those that engage quality and equity at once. The systems provide all children chances for an excellent quality education. Education access, learning process, and outcomes should not be influenced by background outside of the control of individuals, such as gender, ethnicity, birthplace, language, wealth or disability. The aim of the research is to get some information on practices and obstacles in implementing equity in education based on Continuous Quality Improvement cycles in SMAIT As-Syifa Boarding School Subang. This paper applied qualitative‐based research that was organized to describe documents review, observations, and interviews that examines the Plan-Do-Check-Act cycles are able to be implemented in improving both quality and equity in education. The result reveals that the school is in good category of quality and equity in education.
