Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kesenjangan yang terjadi antara lulusan SMK dengan kebutuhan tenaga kerja yang cukup tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui indikator yang paling dominan dalam kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja siswa kelas XII kompetensi keahlian teknik gambar bangunan SMK Negeri 9 Garut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jumlah populasi sejumlah 48 siswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja siswa Kelas XII kompetensi keahlian teknik gambar bangunan SMK Negeri 9 Garut tergolong baik dan terdapat indikator yang dominan dalam kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja, yaitu; (a) memiliki ambisi untuk maju (b) memiliki kemampuan bekerja sama dengan orang lain (c) memiliki harapan terhadap pekerjaan. Ketiga indikator tersebut adalah yang paling dominan di antara ke sembilan indikator lainnya dalam kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja siswa, dan hasil kecenderungan siswa terhadap kesiapan memasuki dunia kerja memberikan respon secara wawasan atau pengetahuan tergolong kategori baik dengan persentase 35.42%. ----- This study was conducted due to the gap that occurred between vocational graduates and fairly high labor needs. The aim of this study was to find out the readiness of students in entering workforce after graduating from vocational school and to know the most dominant indicators in the readiness to enter workforce of class XII students majoring in building drawing engineering Vocational School 9 Garut. This study employed a quantitative method with the number of participants as many as 48 students. The data were collected using the questionnaire by involving description analysis technique. The finding showed that the readiness in entering workforce of students in class XII majoring in building drawing engineering Vocational School 9 Garut was classified as high categories as medium with test result. They were (a) having ambitions to move (b) having the ability to work with other people and (c) have hope for work. The three indicators were the most dominant among the nine indicators in which students have readiness to enter workforce and the results of the students' tendency towards the readiness to enter the workforce were categorized as medium with a percentage of 35.42%.
