Abstract
ABSTRAK DALLY ASH SHIDIEQY (0806926), PEMANFAATAN E-JOURNAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN MINAT PENGGUNAAN KOLEKSI PERPUSTAKAAN OLEH MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS PENDIDIKAN INDONESIA. Pemanfaatan e-Journal lebih sering ditemui di Perguruan Tinggi, dimana mahasiswa diwajibkan untuk mencari literatur ilmiah dalam setiap mengerjakan tugas-tugas yang diberikan dosen yang biasanya harus mencantumkan beberapa referensi melalui jurnal ilmiah. Hak akses layanan e-Journal di Perpustakaan UPI sepenuhnya dipegang oleh bagian Jurnal Perpustakaan UPI. Layanan ini merupakan upaya Perpustakaan UPI dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan guna memenuhi kebutuhan pemustaka akan jurnal-jurnal terbitan luar negeri. Ada beberapa layanan e-Journal terbitan luar negeri yang bisa diakses, yaitu: Proquest, Ebsco, Sage, Cambridge, Oxpord, Gale Cengage, Conaplin Journal. Namun sampai saat ini belum terlihat jelas mengenai pemanfaatan e-Journal di Perpustakaan UPI khususnya di kalangan mahasiswa S1. Seperti misalnya, bagaimana pemanfaatan e-Journal, kemampuan pemustaka dalam memanfaatkan e-Journal, strategi yang dilakukan ketika melakukan penelusuran e-Journal juga pengaruhnya terhadap minat penggunaan koleksi perpustakaan. Penelitian ini, secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan e-Journal oleh mahasiswa di Perpustakaan UPI, juga hubungannya terhadap minat mahasiswa dalam menggunakan koleksi perpustakaan. ABSTRACT DALLY ASHSHIDIEQY (0806926) THE UTILIZATION OF E-JOURNAL TO INCREASE INTEREST IN THE USE OF LIBRARY COLLECTIONS BY STUDENTS AT INDONESIA UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION. The utilization of e-journal more often found in universities, where students are required to search for scholarly literature in any work assignments given to professors who usually have to cite some references through scientific journals. E-Journal access in Library of the university at Indonesia University of Education is fully held by the UPI library journal. This service is an attempt to improve the quality library services to meet the needs the user of the journals published outside the country. There are several e-journal issues of foreign affairs that could be accessed, namely: Proquest, Ebsco, Sage, Cambridge, Oxpord, Gale Cengage, Conaplin Journal, etc. But so far this has not been clearly visible on the utilization of e-Journal in Library of the university at Indonesia University of Education especially among undergraduate students. like for example, how the utilization of e-Journal, user capability in utilizing the e-Journal, the strategies do when performing a search e-Journal also its influence on interest in the use of library collections. This research, in general, aim to find out the utilization of e-Journal by students at Indonesia University of Education, as well as the relationship to the student's interest in using the library's collections.
