Abstract

Sejak empat belas abad yang silam Nabi Muhammad SAW telah menegaskan tentang pentingnya karakter (akhlak) yang baik. Sehingga akhlak dapat dijadikan sebagai ukuran (barometer) keutamaan seseorang. Kemulyaan dan kehinaan sesorang dapat dinilai dari akhlak yang dimiliki oleh seseorang. Pendidikan karakter dan pendidikan akhlak pada hakekatnya adalah inti pendidikan dari semua jenis pendidikan, yang terintegrasi dalam semua mata pelajaran(Sauri, 2016, hlm.169). Oleh sebab itu, nilai-nilai karakter penting untuk diinternalisasikan kepada peserta didik, sehingga terbina akhlak mulia. Gerakan Nasional Revolusi Mental (GNRM, 2014) telah mencanangkan lima nilai-nilai karakter utama; religiusitas, nasionalisme, integritas, kemandirian dan gotong-royong. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan konsep internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui pendidikan agama Islam pada universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian Grounded research, suatu metode penelitian yang mendasarkan diri pada fakta dan menggunakan analisis perbandingan, yang bertujuan untuk mengadakan generalisasi empiris, menetapkan konsep-konsep, membuktikan teori dan mengembangkan teori di mana pengumpulan data dan analisis data berjalan pada waktu yang bersamaan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, secara umum, Universitas Tanjungpura telah menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai karakter utama terintegrasi dalam matakuliah Agama, berdasarkan pada Surat Keputusan Rektor Nomor 1540 Tahun 2012. Secara rinci, disimpulkan; 1) Perencanaan internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui Pendidikan mengacu pada Rencana pembelajaran semester (RPS) matakuliah Agama Islam. 2) Internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui Pendidikan Agama Islam dilaksanakan dalam kegiatan kurikuler, kokerikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. 3) Evaluasi internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter melalui; tugas, UTS, UAS, praktek ibadah, praktek mu’amalah dan analisis SWOT. 4) Kendala yang ditemukan dalam internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter, diantaranya; kurangnya Dosen tetap PAI, pengaturan waktu pelaksanaan pendikar, dan kurangnya minat mahasiswa mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Agama Islam. Since fourteen centuries ago the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) has affirmed the importance of a good character so that morals can be used as a measure (barometer) of one's virtue. Glory and humiliation of someone can be determined by his character. Character education and moral education are essentially the core of education of all types of education, which are integrated in all subjects (Sauri, 2016, p.169). Therefore, character values are important to be internalized to students in order to build a noble character. National Movement for Mental Revolution (GNRM, 2014) proclaimed five main character values; religiosity, nationalism, integrity, independence, and mutual cooperation. This study aims to find the concept of internalizing character values through Islamic religious education at Tanjungpura University Pontianak by using Grounded research methods; a research method that bases itself on facts and uses comparative analysis, which aims to hold empirical generalizations, define concepts, prove theories and develop theories in which data collection and data analysis runs at the same time. In general, the conclusion from this study is that the University of Tanjungpura has internalized the main character values integrated in the Religious subject, based on the Chancellor's Decree Number 1540 of 2012. In detail, it is concluded that; 1) Planning on internalization of character values through Education refers to the semester learning plan (RPS) of Islamic subjects; 2) Internalization of character values through Islamic Religious Education is carried out in curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities; 3) Evaluation of internalizing character values is done through; assignments, middle- term exam, final-term exam, worship practices, mu'amalah practices and SWOT analysis; 4) Constraints found in the internalization of character values includes the lack of permanent lecturers of Islamic Education, the timing of the implementation of the lecturers, and the lack of students’ interests in participating in Islamic extracurricular activities.
