Abstract

Kualitas proses pembelajaran di sekolah ditentukan oleh beberapa faktor yakni guru, siswa, dan sumber belajar. Salah satu faktor terpenting yang mempengaruhi kualitas proses pembelajaran di sekolah adalah faktor guru (pengajar). Studi pendahuluan di SMK di Kota Depok didapat data guru tentang latar belakang pendidikan yang berbeda-beda antara lain : S1 Pendidikan Teknik (S.Pd), Sarjana Sains Terapan (SST), dan Sarjana Teknik (ST), masih terdapat kesenjangan antara konseptual kompetensi guru dengan kenyataan di lapangan baik kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi sosial, kompetensi kepribadian juga kompetensi professional, terjadinya hal tersebut diperkirakan dipengaruhi oleh latarbelakang pendidikan guru tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah guru-guru mata pelajaran produktif dari guru SMK program studi keahlian teknik elektronika dan ketenagalistrikan di Kota Depok, Sukabumi, dan Kabupaten Cianjur dan sampel diambil berdasarkan cluster sampling dan diambil secara proporsional. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan profesionalisme antara guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan yang berbeda, akan tetapi tingkat profesionalisme tertinggi adalah Sarjana Pendidikan Teknik, kemudian tidak terdapat perbedaan kualitas proses pembelajaran antara guru yang berlatar belakang pendidikan berbeda, akan tetapi kualitas proses pembelajaran tertinggi adalah Sarjana Pendidikan Teknik. Terdapat korelasi positif antara profesionalisme guru terhadap kualitas proses pembelajaran, yaitu 62% kualitas proses pembelajaran ditentukan oleh tingkat profesionalisme gurunya Kata kunci: Latar Belakang Pendidikan Guru, Kompetensi, Profesionalitas Kualitas Pembelajaran, SMK. The quality of the learning process in schools is determined by several factors, namely teachers, students, and learning resources. One of the most important factors affecting the quality of the learning process in schools is a factor of teachers (lecturers). Preliminary research on some vocational schools in Depok show that there are different educational backgrounds of teachers, among others: S1 Technical Education (S.Pd), Bachelor of Applied Science (SST), and Bachelor of Engineering (ST), there is still a gap between the conceptual teacher competence and reality pedagogical competence, social competence, professional competence, and personality competence, the case of that predicted by the previous teacher education background. The research method used is descriptive comparative research methods with quantitative approach. The population was subject teachers from SMK vocational teachers of electronics engineering and electrification in Depok, Sukabumi and Cianjur and the samples were taken by cluster sampling and proportionally. The results of this study showed no difference between the professionalism of teachers of different educational backgrounds, but the highest level of professionalism is the Bachelor of Technical Education, then there is no difference in the quality of the learning process among teachers of different educational backgrounds, but the highest level of quality of the learning process is the Bachelor of Technical Education. There is a positive correlation between the professionalism of teachers on the quality of the learning process, which is 62% the quality of the learning process is determined by the level of professionalism of teachers.
