Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin pesat menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk senantiasa meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, salah satunya dengan cara meningkatkan peran media dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Ketersediaan media pembelajaran yang bersifat mobile masih sangat sedikit, terutama untuk pembelajaran kimia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berupa aplikasi berbasis android pada sub materi sel Volta. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Developmental Research (DR) dengan menerapkan model pengembangan ADDIE. Konsep-konsep esensial dan karakteristik media diperoleh dengan melakukan analisis wacana sub materi sel Volta dan analisis elemen media pendukung, sedangkan kelayakan media pembelajaran diperoleh melalui review dengan menggunakan lembar review dan angket tanggapan pendidik, serta tanggapan peserta didik sebagai pengguna. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, konsep-konsep esensial pada media pembelajaran sub materi sel Volta berbasis android memuat definisi sel Volta, reaksi pada sel Volta, diagram sel, komponen sel Volta (elektroda, jembatan garam, dan kabel/kawat), potensial reduksi standar, elektroda hidrogen standar, dan aplikasi pada sel Volta (sel Volta primer dan sel Volta sekunder) dengan karakteristik media berupa teks, gambar, foto, animasi, dan video yang menunjukkan level makroskopik, level submikroskopik, dan level simbolik. Hasil review dan angket tanggapan pendidik menunjukkan bahwa konten, navigasi, tampilan, dan kualitas media dari media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sudah layak sehingga dapat digunakan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar, serta tanggapan peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan menarik dan mudah digunakan. The rapid development of technology demands the world of education to improve the quality of education, one of them is by increasing the role of the media in learning activities. The availability of mobile learning media is still very little, especially for chemistry learning. The aim of this research is to produce learning media of Voltaic Cell in the form of android-based application. The method used in this research is Develompental Research (DR) by applying the ADDIE model of developmental. The essential concepts and characteristics of the media are obtained by analyzing the Voltaic-cell sub-material discourse and analyzing supporting media elements, while the feasibility of learning media is obtained through a review using the review sheet and teacher’s responses questionnaire, and responses of students as users. Based on the results of the research, essential concepts in the learning media of Voltaic cell sub-material of android-based contain definition of Voltaic cell, reaction in Voltaic cell, cell diagrams, Voltaic cell’s component (electrodes, salt bridge, and wires), standard reduction potential, standard hydrogen electrodes, and applications on Voltaic cell (primary and secondary Voltaic cell) with characteristic of media in the form of texts, pictures, images, animations, and videos that show macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic level. The result of the review and questionnaire response indicate that the content, instructional design, appearance, and quality of media from the learning media are feasible so that can be used in teaching and learning activities, and students' responses show that the learning media developed is interesting and easy to use.
