    Abstract

    Secara umum, siswa dengan motivasi rendah di SMP TI Nurul Imam dapat diidentifikasi dari sikap kehilangan konsentrasi, menguap, mengantuk dan mengobrol selama kegiatan kelas mereka. Suasana belajar yang kurang menarik ditemukan karena metode pembelajaran monoton yang dilakukan oleh guru. Oleh karena itu, tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus yang diusulkan oleh Kemis dan Mc Tuggart (1988) dipekerjakan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar musik. Strategi inovatif yang diterapkan adalah kegiatan pembuatan musik menggunakan nama-nama makanan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa meningkat yang dapat dilihat dari antusiasme mereka, inisiasi, dan kerja tim dalam pembelajaran mereka karena kemampuan mereka untuk mengelola pola ritmik, warna bunyi, dan nada menjadi sebuah karya.
    In general, low motivation students in Nurul Imam IT Junior High School could be identified from their attitudes of losing concentration, yawning, being sleepy and chatting during their classroom activity. Such a less interesting learning atmosphere was found due to monotonous learning method done by the teacher. Therefore, a classroom action with two cycles proposed by Kemis and Mc Tuggart (1988) was employed to the increase students’ motivation in learning music. The innovative strategy implemented was music creation activities using names of food. Based on the data analysis results, it shows that the students’ motivation was improved which could be seen from their enthusiasm, initiation, and team work in their learning due to their ability to manage rhythmic patterns, sound colors, and tone into a work.
