Abstract

pada materi sistem pernapasan melalui pembelajaran berbasis alat praktikum sederhana. Pengambilan data dilakukan di salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung sebanyak satu kelas. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah weak eksperimental. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling. Perbandingan peningkatan keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa ditinjau dari capaian siswa sebelum (pretest) dan capaian siswa setelah (post-test) pembelajaran diberikan dan dilihat peningkatannya dengan menggunakan N-gain, serta kemunculan setiap aspek yang diakukan siswa pada kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan alat praktikum sederhana yang dilihat berdasarkan lembar observasi. Setelah pembelajaran, diberikan angket untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan alat praktikum sederhana. Hasil analisis menunjukkan capaian siswa untuk setiap indikator keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa setelah menggunakan alat praktikum sederhana mengalami peningkatan dan peningkatan pada setiap indikator mendapatkan kategori sedang. Kriteria efektifitas kegiatan praktikum dengan menggunakan alat praktikum sederhana mengacu pada tercapainya nilai post-test siswa yang melampaui KKM yaitu 75. Hasil angket menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan alat sederhana pada saat proses pembelajaran pada materi sistem pernapasan mendapatkan respon positif karena dirasa mampu meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dasar pada saat pembelajaran. Adanya perubahan keterampilan proses sains dasar pada siswa melalui pembelajaran kegiatan praktikum dengan menggunakan alat praktikum sederhana ini, diharapakan pembelajaran dapat menjadi salah satu pilihan alternatif yang dapat mengoptimalkan keterampilan proses sains dasar siswa. This study aims to determine the ability of basic science process skills of students on the material of the respiratory system using simple learning tool. This study was conducted on the students of SMA Negeri in Bandung as much as one class. The research method is weak experimental method. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. Comparison of the basic science process skills improvement of students' basic science process from pretest and posttest learning test is given and seen improvement by using N-gain, as well as the happening of every aspect that students do to the learning activities by using simple tools that are viewed based on the observation sheet. After the learning, the questionnaire is given to find out the students' responses to the use of simple tools. The result of the analysis shows the basic science process skills of the students after using simple tool has been improved with the moderate category for each basic science process skills indicator and the criteria of effectiveness of practicum activity using simple practicum tool referring to the achievement of the average score of the students that exceeds KKM is 75. The questionnaire results show that the use of simple tools during the learning process on the respiratory system material get positive response because it is felt able to improve basic science process skill at the time of learning. The change of basic science process skill to students through learning practice activity by using this simple tool, it is expected that learning can be one of the alternative choices that can optimize the basic science process skill of the students.
