Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengelolaan potensi kecelakaan kerja di hotel upscale di Kota Bandung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data diperoleh melalui wawancara menggunakan 25 pertanyaan, kepada delapan orang narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar hotel upscale di Kota Bandung, dapat mengendalikan potensi kecelakaan kerja dengan tiga metode, yaitu: yang pertama adalah penurunan resiko dengan berfokus pada departemen engineering dan security yang disertai dengan pelatihan-pelatihan, seperti pelatihan prosedur keselamatan, pemakaian bahan kimia, pemakaian mesin atau peralatan, dan food safety secara rutin. Kedua adalah transfer resiko yang dilakukan di beberapa hotel upscale, dengan cara memberikan asuransi untuk para karyawan, menyediakan dokter jaga, dan menjalin kerjasama dengan rumah sakit setempat. Ketiga adalah menghindari resiko kecelakaan kerja dengan cara melakukan pengecekan secara berkala dan penggantian peralatan kerja dari vendor – vendor yang bekerja sama dengan hotel. Pencegahan terjadinya kecelakaan kerja yang dilakukan oleh hotel-hotel upscale di Kota Bandung, dilakukan dengan empat metode, yaitu pertama adalah penurunan resiko dengan tersedianya jalur evakuasi, pelatihan khusus yang menanamkan kewaspadaan (awareness), serta posisi khusus yang memiliki tanggungjawab khusus; yang kedua adalah mentransfer resiko dengan adanya pembahasan mengenai kecelakaan kerja yang pernah terjadi dan kemudian melakukan sounding mengenai kecelakaan tersebut; yang ketiga adalah rotasi kerja yang disertai dengan pelatihan khusus; dan yang keempat adalah audit yang dilakukan secara rutin oleh pihak khusus yang ditunjuk oleh pihak hotel; serta pembaharuan sistem dan informasi agar dapat terhindar dari resiko kecelakaan kerja yang tidak dikehendaki. The research method used was a descriptive qualitative method, with a purposive sampling technique. Data collection was obtained through interviews using 25 questions to eight participants. The results showed that most of the upscale hotels in Bandung, could control the potential for work accidents with three methods, namely: first is risk reduction by focusing in the engineering and security department with trainings, such as training in safety procedures, use of chemicals, use of machinery or equipment, and food safety routinely. Second is risk transfers which are carried out in some upscale hotels, by providing insurance for employees, providing on-duty doctors, and collaborating with local hospitals. The third is avoiding risk of work accidents by periodically checking and replacing work equipment from vendors who has collaboration with hotels. Avoiding of work accident in upscale hotels in Bandung, carried out by four methods, such as risk reduction with the availability of evacuation routes, special training that instills awareness (awareness), as well as special roles that require special responsibility; The second is issuing a risk by discussing work accidents that have occurred and then announced about the accident; the third is job rotation following by special training; and the fourth is an audit conducted by a special party appointed by the hotel; as well as system updates and information to avoid the risk of unwanted work accidents.
