Abstract

Perpustakaan Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung merupakan perpustakaan yang telah menerapkan berbagai jenis alunan musik sebagai sarana pendukung layanan perpustakaan. Pemanfaatan musik merupakan salah satu terobosan baru di Perpustakaan Universitas Kristen Maranatha dengan tujuan memberikan rasa nyaman, tenang dan damai kepada pemustaka serta seluruh pustakawan yang ada. Alunan musik yang tercipta dipercaya dapat mengembalikan suasana hati tenaga pengelola perpustakaan sehingga dapat memberikan semangat dalam bekerja guna memberikan pelayanan prima bagi pemustaka yang berkunjung ke perpustakaan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pemanfaatan musik terhadap sikap kerja tenaga pengelola perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung. Alasan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini adalah membuka wawasan peneliti diluar bidang ilmu perpustakaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah angket dan studi dokumentasi. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh tenaga pengelola perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung, dengan sampel sebanyak 17 orang. Pengolahan data menggunakan korelasi dari Product Moment . Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pemanfaatan musik dengan sikap kerja tenaga pengelola perpustakaan di Perpustakaan Universitas Kristen Maranatha Bandung dengan tingkat korelasi berada pada kategori sedang dan signifikan, secara garis besar hubungan pemanfaatan musik dengan sikap kerja kognitif termasuk pada kategori sedang, besarnya hubungan pemanfaatan musik terhadap sikap kerja afektif termasuk pada kategori lemah, dan besarnya hubungan pemanfaatan musik terhadap sikap kerja konatif termasuk pada kategori kuat;---Maranatha Christian University Library is a library that has applied various types of music as a supporting library services. The use of music is one of the new breakthroughs in the Maranatha Christian University Library with the aim of providing a sense of comfort, calm and peace to the library users and all librarians. The music that is created is believed to be able to restore the mood of the library management staff so that they can provide enthusiasm to work in order to provide excellent service for library users who visiting the library. This study aims to determine the relationship of music utilization to the work attitude of library management staff in the Maranatha Christian University Library in Bandung. The reason for this research is to open researchers' horizons outside the field of library science. The research method uses descriptive correlational method with a quantitative approach. The research instrument used was questionnaire and documentation study. The population in the study were all library management staff at the Maranatha Christian University Library in Bandung, with a sample of 18 people. Data processing uses the correlation of the Product Moment. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the use of music with the work attitude of library management staff in the Library of Maranatha Christian University Bandung with the level of correlation is in the medium and significant category, in broad outline the relationship of the use of music with cognitive work attitudes including in the medium category, the magnitude of the relationship the use of music towards affective work attitudes is included in the weak category, and the score of the relationship of using music to the conative work attitude is included in the strong category
