Abstract

Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) terus melakukan evaluasi dalam meningkatkan pembentukan karekter dan mempunyai peranan penting dalam menyiapkan lulusan yang berkompetensi melalui bidang pendidikan dan pengajaran terhadap mahasiswanya. Program Studi (Prodi) Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan (PTB) Departemen Pendidikan Teknik Sipil (DPTS) Fakultas Pendidikan teknologi dan kejuruan (FPTK) merupakan lembaga pendidikan yang berfokus pada pengembangan pendidikan, penelitian, dan bangunan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkapkan gambaran umum mengenai kesiapan mahasiswa PTB DPTS UPI dan Prodi menghadapi Praktik Industri (PI). Praktik industri merupakan kesempatan untuk menimba dan meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan menjadi terbuka bagi mahasiswa. Praktik industri dapat menambah pengalaman bagi mahasiswa melakukan proses faktualisasi karena dapat menguji dan membandingkan pengetahuan teoritisnya dengan situasi dan keadaan yang sebenarnya. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan untuk mengumpulkan data menggunkan instrumen angket dan butir soal. Angket dan butir soal disebarkan kepada 48 responden sampel penelitian yang merupakan perwakilan dari mahasiswa prodi PTB DPTS UPI. Dari hasil pengolahan data didapatkan jawaban untuk permasalahan dalam penelitian ini, dimana tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa Prodi PTB DPTS UPI dalam menghadapi PI tergolong tinggi, dan tingkat kesiapan Prodi PTB UPI tergolong rendah:---The Indonesian University of Education (UPI) continues to conduct evaluations in enhancing character building and has an important role in preparing competent graduates through education and teaching for its students. Building Engineering Study Program (PTB) Department of Civil Engineering Education (DPTS) Faculty of technology and vocational education (FPTK) is an educational institution that focuses on the development of education, research and buildings. This study aims to reveal a general description of the readiness of UPI DPT PTB students and Study Programs facing Industrial Practices (PI). Because readiness in dealing with PI is one measurement that can affect the readiness of students as an educator in accordance with the demands of competency standards in the education world. Industrial practice is an opportunity to draw on and improve knowledge and skills to be open to students. So that the experience of industrial practice can add to the experience for students in the factualization process because it can test and compare their theoretical knowledge with the actual situation and situation. This type of research uses descriptive research methods with a quantitative approach, and to collect data using questionnaire and question items. Questionnaires and items were distributed to 48 research sample respondents who were representatives of 63 2014 2014 UPI DPB DPT study program students who had implemented PIs. From the results of data processing obtained answers to the problems in this study, where the level of readiness of students of PTPI DPPI Study Program in dealing with PI was high, and the level of readiness of PTB UPI Study Program was low.
