Abstract

Selama ini, permintaan biji plastik di salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bersifat musiman menyebabkan pabrik sering mengalami kelebihan dan kekurangan kapasitas. Untuk itu diperlukan suatu metode peramalan yang akurat agar target penjualan dapat tercapai sehingga dapat memenuhi permintaan pasar dengan biaya produksi seminimal mungkin. Saat ini pabrik tidak memiliki metode peramalan yang baik dan tidak mempertimbangkan kapasitas produksi yang ada sehingga perusahaan banyak kehilangan kesempatan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, metode penelitian yang digunakan penulis adalah Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP) yang bertujuan untuk menentukan tingkat produksi, perencanaan kapasitas produksi, serta menstabilkan tingkat produksi terhadap permintaan yang bersifat fluktiatif. Penulis mengusulkan strategi alternatif untuk menyeimbangkan antara beban dan kapasitas sehingga permintaan dapat terpenuhi untuk periode Januari 2020-Desember 2020 dengan tingkat tenaga kerja dan mesin tidak mengalami perubahan, menetapkan waktu kerja lembur dan subkontrak di bulan yang mengalami kekurangan kapasitas produksi, serta dapat menghasilkan total biaya produksi yang rendah. Dengan strategi ini diharapkan dapat menghemat biaya produksi dari strategi yang saat ini digunakan perusahaan. Kata Kunci: Peramalan time series, Perencanaan produksi, Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP). During this time, the demand for plastic pellets in one manufacturing company seasonality caused the factory often have advantages and disadvantages capacity. It required an accurate forecasting method that sales target can be achieved so as to meet market demand with production costs to a minimum. Currently the factory did not have a good forecasting method and does not take into consideration the existing production capacity so that the company many lost opportunities for profit. To overcome this problem, the research methods used by the author is the Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP), which aims to determine the level of production, production capacity planning, as well as stabilize the level of production to the demand that is fluctuate. The authors propose an alternative strategy to balance between load and capacity so that demand can be met for the period January 2020-December 2020 with the level of employment and the engine does not change, assign overtime and subcontracting in the shortage of production capacity, and can result in total costs low production. This strategy is expected to save the cost of production of the strategies currently used by the company.
