Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Tipe Kepemimpinan Demokratis Kepala Sekolah Terhadap Kinerja Mengajar Guru Sekolah Dasar Negeri se-Kecamatan Sumedang Utara Kabupaten Sumedang.” Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh tipe kepemimpinan demokratis kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja mengajar guru sekolah dasar negeri se-kecamatan sumedang utara kabupaten sumedang. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan mengunakan angket/ kuesioner, yang ditunjukan kepada 84 guru/ responden di sekolah dasar negeri se-kecamatan sumedang utara kabupaten sumedang. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan kecenderungan skor responden untuk Tipe Kepemimpinan Demokratis Kepala Sekolah (Variabel X) tergolong dalam kategori sangat baik dengan nilai skor rata-rata 3,66 dan Kinerja Mengajar Guru (Varaibel X) berkategori sangat baik dengan nilai skor rata-rata 3,72. Analisis korelasi antara Variabel X dengan Variabel Y memiliki hubungan yang rendah dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,341. Hasil uji signifikan korelasi, menyatakan bahwa Variabel X mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Variabel Y di Sekolah Dasar Negeri se-Kecamatan Sumedag Utara Kabupaten Sumedang. Adapun pengaruh yang diberikan oleh Variabel X sebesar 11,9 % terhadap variabel Y, sisanya 88,1 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel lainnya. Hasil regresi dari kedua variabel ini yaitu Y=32,702 + 0,345X, artinya bahwa setiap terjadinya perubahan suatu poin pada variabel X, maka akan diikuti pula oleh perubahan pada Variabel Y sebesar 0,345. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan anatara Variabel X terdadap Varibel Y di Sekolah Dasar Negeri se-Kecamatan Sumedang Utara Kabupaten Sumedang. ;---This research is entitled “The Influence of the Principal's Democratic Leadership Type on the Teaching Performance of State Primary School Teachers in North Sumedang District, Sumedang Regency”. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the principal's democratic leadership type on the teaching performance of public elementary school teachers in North Sumedang district, Sumedang regency. This research employed descriptive method with quantitative approach. The data was collected using questionnaires, which were distributed to the teacher in all public elementary schools in North Sumedang district, Sumedang regency, amounting to 84 respondents. The calculation of the tendency of the respondents’ score for Principal’s Democratic Leadership Type (Variable X) was classified in the very good category with an average score of 3.66 and Teacher Teaching Performance(variable Y) was classified in the very good category with an average score of 3.72. The correlational analysis between Variable X and Variabel Y showed a low relationship with a correlation coefficient of 0.341. Significance correlation test results stated that Variable X had a significant influence on Variable Y in public elementary schools in North Sumedang district, Sumedang regency. The influence given by variable X to variable Y was 11.9%. The remaining 88.1% was influenced by other variables. The regression equation of these two variables was Y=32.702+0.345X, meaning that each occurrence of a change in points on the Variable X variable will be followed by a change in Variable Y by 0.345. Based on the results of this research, there was a positive and significant influence between the Variable X and Variable Y in public elementary schools in North Sumedang district, Sumedang regency.
