Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan siswa di SMK Negeri bidang Teknologi dan Rekayasa di Kota Bandung yang mengalami kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa yang relatif rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari faktor yang menyebabkan kesulitan belajar siswa kelas 10 pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik di SMK bidang Teknologi dan Rekayasa Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan wawancara dan angket dengan skala likert. Populasi angket dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X Teknik Pemesinan SMK Negeri 2 dan SMK Negeri 6 Bandung sebanyak 541 siswa, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 siswa. Wawancara dilakukan kepada guru mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik dari SMK Negeri 2 dan SMK Ngeri 6 Bandung. Uji validitas instrumen dilakukan dengan validitas isi (Expert Judgement) dan validitas konstruk. Uji reliabilitas instrumen menggunakan rumus Alpha Cronbanch. Analisis data angket dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif dengan persentase. Hasil penelitian angket dan wawancara menunjukkan bahwa (1) faktor internal yang dominan menyebabkan kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik adalah faktor minat/motivasi, (2) faktor eksternal yang dominan menyebabkan kesulitan belajar pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik adalah faktor lingkungan masyarakat;---This research is based on the problem of students in vocational school of technology and engineering in Bandung. Students have learning difficulties on Applied Mechanics lesson that can be proven by student’s low learning outcomes. The purpose of this research is to find the factors that causing learning difficulties in 10th grade students on Applied Mechanics lesson using a quantitative descriptive research. There were two techniques in data collection, interviews and likert-scale questionnaire. The population of this research questionnaire are all 10th grade Machine Engineering students in Vocational School 2 Bandung and Vocational School 6 Bandung, there were 541 students total with 100 students as a sample. Interviewees of this research are the teachers from both vocational schools. The test validity instrument is using two ways, expert judgment test and construct validity test. The instrument reliability test is using Alpha Cronbach formula, and the technique in data analysis is using descriptive statistical analysis techniques with percentages. The research result from both questionnaire and interviews shows that (1) The dominant internal factors that affecting students learning difficulties on Applied Mechanics lesson are the lack of interest and motivation factors. (2) The dominant external factors that affecting students learning difficulties on Applied Mechanics lesson is the community environments.
