Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya profitabilitas perusahaan subsektor industri tekstil dan garment yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia yang tidak mencapai standar umum profitabilitas. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh struktur modal dan aktivitas aset terhadap profitabilitas pada subsektor industri tekstil dan garment yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode tahun 2012-2017. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dan verifikatif. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder berupa laporan keuangan tahunan pada subsektor industri tekstil dan garment dari tahun 2012-2017. Teknik pengolahan data dilakukan dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Teknik pengambilan sampel berdasarkan purposive sampling diperoleh sampel sebanyak 15 perusahaan selama 6 tahun dari 2012-2017 sehingga diperoleh 90 data observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial struktur modal berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap profitabilitas dan aktivitas aset berpengaruh tidak signifikan terhadap profitabilitas. ;---This research is motivated by the low profitability of textile and garment industry subsectors companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange that did not reach the general standard of profitability. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of capital structure and asset activity to profitability on subsectors of textile and garment industry listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2012-2017 period. The research methods used are descriptive and verification. Data collection methods in this research were carried out with documentation techniques. This research uses secondary data in the form of annual financial reports on the textile and garment industry subsectors from 2012-2017. Data processing techniques were carried out by multiple linear regression analysis. The sampling technique based on purposive sampling obtained a sample of 15 companies for 6 years from 2012-2017 to obtain 90 observation data. The results showed that partially the capital structure had a significant negative effect on profitability and asset activity had no significant effect on profitability.
