Abstract
Kabupaten Garut memiliki banyak potensi pariwisata yang sedang berkembang. Tenaga kerja dibutuhkan dalam berbagai aspek untuk mendukung pertumbuhan pariwisata tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran potensi sektor pariwisata di kabupaten Garut untuk periode tahun 2018 – 2022, menganalisis tenaga kerja yang dibutuhkan dari lulusan SMK untuk sektor pariwisata di kabupaten Garut untuk periode 2018 – 2022, mendapatkan gambaran umum kondisi existing Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Pariwisata di Kabupaten Garut, serta menganalisis kebutuhan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) bidang Keahlian Pariwisata untuk Kompetensi keahlian Perhotelan dalam mengantisipasi kebutuhan tenaga kerja untuk sektor pariwisata di kabupaten Garut untuk periode tahun 2018 – 2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Temuan dan pembahasan diperoleh dari studi dokumentasi, wawancara, dan observasi. Penelitian ini menghasilkan beberapa hal: 1) Perkembangan pariwisata di Kabupaten Garut pada periode tahun 2018 hingga tahun 2022 secara umum menunjukkan peningkatan, hal ini ditandai dengan banyaknya objek wisata baru, kunjungan wisatawan yang meningkat, dan adanya aktivitas-aktivitas dalam kegiatan pariwisata salah satunya pada bidang perhotelan; 2) Pendekatan manpower planning digunakan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan tenaga kerja bidang Front Office, Housekeeping, dan Food & Beverages Services untuk hotel bintang; 3) Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Bidang Keahlian Pariwisata untuk Kompetensi Keahlian Perhotelan sebagai pemasok tenaga kerja di bidang Front Office, Housekeeping, dan Food & Beverages Services; dan 4) Kebutuhan tenaga kerja di 5 tahun mendatang dapat dipenuhi oleh 4 SMK dengan kompetensi keahlian perhotelan yang ada di Kabupaten Garut. ;---Garut Regency has a lot of tourism potential that is developing. Labor is needed in various aspects to support the growth of tourism. The purpose of this study was to get a picture of the potential of the tourism sector in Garut regency for the period 2018-2022, to analyze the workforce needed from graduates of vocational schools for the tourism sector in Garut regency for the period 2018-2022, to get an overview of the existing conditions of vocational schools of Tourism in Garut Regency, as well as to analyze the needs of Vocational Schools in the field of Tourism Skills for Hospitality Skills Competencies in anticipating the workforce needs for the tourism sector in Garut regency for the period 2018-2022. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Findings and discussions were obtained from documentation studies, interviews, and observations. This study produced several things: 1) The development of tourism in Garut Regency in the period 2018 to 2022 generally showed an increase, this was marked by the number of new tourism objects, increasing tourist visits, and the existence of activities in tourism activities one of them hospitality sector; 2) The manpower planning approach is used to analyze the workforce needs of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverages Services for star hotels; 3) Tourism Vocational School for Hospitality Skills Competence as a supplier of workers in the field of Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverages Services; and 4) Workforce needs in the next 5 years can be fulfilled by 4 Vocational Schools with hospitality expertise competencies in Garut Regency.
