Abstract
Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran intertekstual dengan Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) pada materi larutan penyangga untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena kurangnya keterlibatan tiga level representasi kimia dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehingga penguasaan konsep siswa tidak utuh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D) yang dibatasi sampai tahap pengembangan produk pendahuluan. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tabel kesesuaian indikator penguasaan konsep dengan kompetensi dasar pengetahuan dan konsep dengan indikator penguasaan konsep, tabel kesesuaian indikator keterampilan proses sains dengan kompetensi dasar keterampilan dan deskripsi keterampilan proses sains dengan indikator keterampilan proses sains, serta tabel kesesuaian kegiatan pembelajaran dengan indikator penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains yang divalidasi oleh dosen kimia. Strategi pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa kegiatan pembelajaran yang melibatkan pertautan tiga level representasi kimia (level makroskopik, submikroskopik, dan simbolik) ke dalam langkah pembelajaran POE untuk membangun pemahaman siswa pada materi larutan penyangga. Hasil pengembangan strategi pembelajaran intertekstual dengan POE pada materi larutan penyangga untuk meningkatkan penguasaan konsep dan keterampilan proses sains siswa dinyatakan valid dengan beberapa perbaikan berdasarkan saran yang diberikan oleh validator;---The purpose of this study was to develop the intertextual learning strategy with Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) on buffer solutions topic to improve students’ understanding and science process skills. This study was conducted because the lack of involvement three levels of chemical representation in learning activities so that the students’ understanding was not intact. The method used in this study was Research and Development (R & D) which was limited to the preliminary product development stage. The instruments used were congruence table involving the relationship of indicators of concept understanding with the basic knowledge competency and concepts with the indicators of concept understanding, congruence table of indicators of science process skills with the basic skill competency and descriptions of science process skills with the indicators of science process skills, congruence table of learning activities with indicators of concept understanding and indicators of science process skills that are validated by chemistry lecturers. Learning strategy developed in the form of learning activities that involve the relationship of three levels of chemical representation (macroscopic, submicroscopic, and symbolic levels) into the POE learning steps to construct students’ understanding of buffer solution topic. The result of the development of intertextual learning strategy with POE on the buffer solutions topic to improve students’ understanding and science process skills were declared valid with several improvements based on the validator suggestions.
