Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurang aktifnya siswa dalam belajar, hasil belajar siswa rendah dan guru belum menggunakan media pembelajaran alternatif dalam pembelajaran. Menanggapi masalah tersebut dipilihlah media alat peraga sistem pengapian sepeda motor sebagai media alternatif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada kompetensi dasar sistem pengapian menggunakan media alat peraga sistem pengapian sepeda motor, kemudian mengetahui aktivitas belajar siswa menggunakan alat peraga sistem pengapian, juga mengetahui respon siswa terhadap penggunaan alat peraga sistem pengapian. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-Experimen dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel penelitian yang diambil adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Teknik Sepeda Motor SMK Tri Mitra 2 Cikaum yang berjumlah 34 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa tes, observasi, dan angket. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran kompetensi dasar sistem pengapian setelah menggunakan media alat peraga sistem pengapian terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan perolehan nilai rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,7. Nilai tersebut termasuk ke dalam kategori tinggi. Aktivitas belajar menggunakan media alat peraga diperoleh persentase sebesar 72%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas belajar masuk kedalam kriteria aktif. Penggunaan media alat peraga mendapatkan respon positif dari siswa, dengan perolehan sebesar 76,15% yang termasuk kedalam kriteria baik. ;---The problem’s background of this research by less active students in learning, student learning outcomes and teachers are not yet using alternate learning media in learning. Response to the problem was the media props motorcycle ignition system as alternative media. The purpose of this research is to know the improvement of student learning outcomes on the basis of competence of the ignition system using media props motorcycle ignition system, then find out the learning activities of students using props ignition system, also know the response of the students against the use of props ignition system. The research method used was Pre-Experiment with One Design Research Group Pretest-Posttest. The research sample is taken is the whole grade XI Motorcycle Engineering SMK Trí Mitra 2 Cikaum that add up to 34 students. The instruments used in this research in the form of tests, observation, and question form. Based on the results of the research, the results of student learning on learning basic competencies ignition system after using the media props ignition system, there is a significant increase. This is demonstrated by the acquisition of the average value of N-Gain of 0.7. These values are included in the high category. Learning activities using the media props obtained the percentage of 72%. This suggests that the learning activities into active criteria. Use of the media props get positive response from students, with the acquisition of 76.15% contains the criteria either.
