Abstract

Salah satu model pembelajaran yang diutamakan dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 yaitu Model Pembelajaran Discovery. Dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan RI sangat menyarankan model pembelajaran discovery untuk mengembangkan sikap, pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor pendorong dan penghambat guru dalam mengimplementasikan model pembelajaran discovery, tahap perencanaan, maupun pelaksanaannya di kelas. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi yang digunakan adalah seluruh guru Geografi SMA Negeri di Kota Serang. Sedangkan sampelnya adalah SMA Negeri 2 Kota Serang dan SMA Negeri 5 Kota Serang. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah melalui angket dan observasi. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan teknik analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Adanya faktor pendorong dan penghambat yang menyebabkan belum semua guru Geografi di SMA Negeri di Kota Serang menerapkan model pembelajaran discovery. 2) RPP yang dirancang oleh guru yang sudah menerapkan model pembelajaran discovery sudah sesuai dengan RPP model pembelajaran discovery yang ideal. 3) Pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar di kelas dapat dikatakan optimal. Komponen RPP guru yang kurang lengkap, sistematis dan langkah-langkahnya belum sesuai seharusnya dijabarkan dari silabus untuk mengarahkan kegiatan belajar peserta didik dalam mencapai kompetensi dasar. RPP juga seharusnya sesuai dengan pelaksanaan proses belajar mengajar di kelas. ;---One of the preferred learning models in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum is the discovery learning model. In applying the Curriculum 2013, the Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia very recommend the discovery learning model to develop attitude, knowledge and skills. The purpose of this research is to know the factors of teacher incentive and impediment in implementing discovery learning model, planning stage, and implementation in class. The method used is descriptive method. The population used is all teachers of Geography of SMA Negeri in Serang City. While the sample is SMA Negeri 2 Serang City and SMA Negeri 5 Serang City. The instrument used is through questionnaire and observation. Data analysis techniques using qualitative analysis techniques. The results showed that: 1) There are driving factors and inhibitors that cause not all Geography teachers in SMA Negeri in Serang City apply the discovery learning model. 2) RPP designed by teachers who have applied discovery learning model is in accordance with RPP ideal learning discovery model. 3) RPP teachers who have implemented discovery learning model with the implementation of teaching and learning process in the classroom is optimally. The teacher component which is incomplete, systematic and the steps are not appropriate should be elaborated from the syllabus to direct the learning activities of students in achieving basic competencies. RPPalso should be in accordance with the implementation of the teaching and learning process in the class.
