Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang peningkatan kemampuan pemodelan matematis siswa SMP kelas VII melalui pendekatan scientific berbantuan android mobile game dan memperoleh respon minat siswa terhadap matematika dan media pembelajaran berbasis android mobile game. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah uji non-parametrik Mann-Whitney karena data tidak berdistribusi normal. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII D (kelas eksperimen) dan siswa kelas VII E (kelas kontrol) pada salah satu SMP Negeri di kota Bandung. Rata-rata nilai pre-test pada kelas eksperimen adalah 24,55 dan rata-rata nilai post-test nya adalah 68.33. Sedangkan rata-rata pre-test pada kelas kontrol adalah 30,15 dan rata-rata nilai post-test nya adalah 61.67. Dari data pre-test dan post-test kedua kelas tersebut, diketahui rata-rata nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen adalah 0.58 dan rata-rata nilai N-Gain kelas kontrol adalah 0.42. Berdasarkan hasil uji Mann-Whitney, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan scientific berbantuan android mobile game mengalami peningkatan kemampuan pemodelan matematis yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan scientific saja.;---This study aims to obtain an overview of the enhancement of mathematical modelling ability of grade VII junior high school students through scientific approach assisted by android mobile game and obtain responses from students' interest in mathematics and instructional media based on android mobile games. The analysis technique used is the Mann-Whitney (non-parametric) test because the data are not normally distributed. The sample of this study was students of class VII D (experimental class) and students of class VII E (control class) at one of the state junior high schools in Bandung city. The average pre-test value in the experimental class is 24.55 and the average value of the post-test is 68.33. While the average pre-test value in the control class is 30.15 and the average post-test value is 61.67. From both pre-test and post-test data, the average N-Gain value of the experimental class is 0.58 and the average N-Gain value of the control class is 0.42. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney test, it can be concluded that students who receive learning using the scientific approach assisted by android mobile games have better improvement in mathematical modeling skills than students who receive learning using the scientific approach only.
