Abstract

Anak tunarungu sebagian besar mengalami kesulitan dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran dikarenakan dampak ketunarunguannya, yaitu hambatan dalam bahasa dan komunikasi. Dampak ketunarunguannya tersebut mengakibatkan kesulitan dalam memahami materi pembelajaran yang akan disampaikan terutama pembelajaran matematika materi tentang mengenal konsep perkalian. Untuk menanamkan konsep perkalian kepada anak tunarungu diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang menarik dan mempermudah pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan. Dalam rangka membantu meningkatkan kemampuan belajar mengenal konsep perkalian pada siswa tunarungu tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian yang bertempat di SLB-B Prima Bhakti Mulya. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang cocok digunakan dalam membelajarkan konsep perkalian pada anak tunarungu adalah ¬team-games-tournament. Melalui metode team-games-tournament siswa dapat berkolaborasi dalam tim dan saling mengajarkan satu sama lain dalam kegiatan bermain (games) yang menyenangkan, siswa akan lebih mudah memahami konsep perkalian. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pre-test and post-test. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan, yaitu dimana ketika dilaksanakan pre-test anak masih keliru tentang konsep perkalian sehingga skor rata-rata sampel ketika pre-test adalah 9,28 dan ketika dilaksanakan post-test anak sudah mengenal tentang konsep perkalian dimana nilai rata-rata post-test adalah 20,28. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis menggunakan Wilcoxon diperoleh hasil J hitung < J tabel atau -28 < 2, maka H1 diterima. Artinya, ada pengaruh penggunaan metode team-games-tournament terhadap kemampuan belajar mengenal konsep perkalian kelas III SDLB di SLB-B Prima Bakti Mulya. ;--- Children with hearing impairment mostly difficulties in following the learning process due to the impact of the hearing impairment, namely the obstacles in language and communication. The impact of the hearing loss resulted in difficulties in understanding the learning material that would be delivered, especially the learning of mathematics about the concept of multiplication. To instill the concept of multiplication for children with hearing impairment is needed an interesting learning method which facilitate students' understanding of the material presented. To help increase the ability to learn to recognize the multiplication concept in students with hearing impairment, researchers conducted a study located at SLB-B Prima Bhakti Mulya. One method of learning that is suitable to be used in teaching the concept of multiplication in deaf children is the team-games-tournament. Through the team-games-tournament method students can collaborate in teams and teach each other in fun games, students will more easily understand the concept of multiplication. The design of this study uses an experimental method with a research design one group pre-test and post-test. The instrument used is a written test. The results of this study showed a significant improvement, which is when the pre-test is carried out the child is still mistaken about the concept of multiplication so that the average sample score when the pre-test is 9.28 and when implemented post-test the child is familiar with the concept of multiplication where the value the average post-test is 20.28. Based on the hypothesis test using Wilcoxon Test, the results of J count <J table or -28 <2, then H1 is accepted. That is, there is an effect of using the team-game-tournament method on the ability to learn to recognize the multiplication concept of class III SDLB in SLB-B Prima Bakti Mulya.
