Abstract
Proses kegiatan belajar mengajar (KBM) pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik memiliki beberapa permasalahan diantaranya adalah kurangnya semangat siswa dalam mempelajari mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik, hasil belajar siswa kurang dari Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), siswa kesulitan dalam memahami pelajaran, kurang tersedianya buku sumber yang memadai, orientasi belajar masih berpusat pada guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik setelah diterapkannya metode tutorial, dan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara penerapan metode tutorial dengan metode tanpa tutorial. Peningkatan hasil belajar siswa tersebut dianalisis berdasarkan nilai N-gain. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Kuasi Eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group desain. Pada penelitian ini terdapat 2 kelompok sampel yaitu kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen dilaksanakan di kelas X DPIB 1 dengan jumlah 34 responden dan kelas kontrol dilaksanakan di kelas X DPIB 5 dengan jumlah 35 responden. Pada kelas eksperimen dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode tutorial kelompok yang didampingi tutor dari siswa itu sendiri, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol tidak dilakukan metode tutorial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar kelas kontrol. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari perolehan nilai rata-rata N-gain, pada kelas eksperimen berada pada rentang kategori sedang, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol berada pada rentang kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis dapat disimpulkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar setelah menggunakan metode tutorial dan adanya perbedaan hasil belajar antara pembelajaran metode tutorial dan tanpa metode tutorial pada mata pelajaran Mekanika Teknik;--- The process of teaching and learning activities (KBM) in the Mechanics Engineering subject have several problems such as lack of enthusiasm of students in studying subjects of Mechanics Engineering, student learning outcomes less than Minimum complete Criteria (KKM), students difficulty in understanding lessons, less avaiblity of source material, the learning orientation is still teacher-centered. The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in the subjects of Mechanics Engineering after the application of tutorial methods, and to know the difference between learning outcomes between the application of tutorial methods and without tutorial methods. Increased student learning outcomes were analyzed based on N-gain values. The method used is Quasi-Experiment with design methods research pretest posttest control group design.In this study, there are two groups of samples, they are experimental class and control class. The experiments Classroom were held in class X DPIB 1 with the number of 34 respondents and the controls classroom are held in the class class X DPIB 5 with the number of 35 respondents. In the experiments classroom were conducted learning with tutorial method accompanied by tutor groups from the students themselves, while the control classroom is not using tutorial method. Results showed that the experimental classromm learning outcomes higher than the control classroom. It can be seen from the acquisition value of the average N-gain, the experimental classroom are in the range of average category, while the control classroom that are in the range of low category. Based on the results of hypothesis testing can be concluded that there is an increase in learning outcomes after using the tutorial method and the difference of learning outcomes between learning tutorial methods and without tutorial methods on subjects Mechanics Engineering.
