Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas program bimbingan keterampilan sosial untuk meningkatkan empati dan disability awareness pada peserta didik non ABK di kelas IV SD (inklusi) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan membandingkan dua kelompok (between-group design). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang mengukur tingkat empati dan disability awareness. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik non ABK kelas IV (Inklusi) SD Laboratorium UPI Bandung di Setiabudi dan di Cibiru. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan program bimbingan keterampilan sosial belum efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan empati namun efektif dalam meningkatkan disability awareness. Kata kunci : Program Bimbingan Keterampilan Sosial, Empati, Disability Awareness, Inklusi. This study aims to test the effectiveness of social skills guidance program to enhance empathy and disability awareness in fourth grade student without SEN with a quantitative approach. The method used was a quasi experiment with comparing the two groups (between-group design). Techniques of data collection using a questionnaire that measures the level of empathy and disability awareness. The samples in this study were fourth grade student without SEN in Elementary School UPI Laboratory Setiabudi and Cibiru, Bandung. Sampling was done by using purposive sampling. Data analysis technique using t-test. The results showed social skills guidance program has not been effective to increase the capacity for empathy but effective in increasing disability awareness.
