Abstract
;---The conception that students have can arise from the learning process or everyday experience. When the students have a conception that is not scientificcally true, so it can be said as a misconception. Misconception caused by several factors, they are learning methods, learning media and textbook that do not facilitate physical concepts. Text that presents concepts and it used to change students’s conceptions is called Conceptual Change Text (CCT). Therefore, the aims of this research is to investigate the effectiveness of Conceptual Change Text (CCT) assisted by computer simulations to change students' conceptions especially in the concepts of momentum and impulse. The method in this research is mixed-method. The research sample consisted of 36 students at one of Senior Hig School in Bandung. Four tier test on momentum and impulses’ concept was used as pre-test and post-test to measure student understanding level. The result show that Conceptual Change Text (CCT) assisted by computer simulations gives the large effect to change the students’ conception and reducing students’ misconceptions with the value of effect size was 1,89. It can be concluded that Conceptual Change Text (CCT) assisted by computer simulation is effective to change the conception of tenth grade students on the concept of Momentum and Impulse.
