Abstract
Dasar utama pemikiran penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan suatu program pelatihan guru yang berorientasi pada partisipan dan dapat bermanfaat bagi peningkatan kualitas pribadi dan profesi keguruannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Design and Developmental Research (DDR). Penelitian ini disusun berdasarkan kajian-kajian penelitian terdahulu dan disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan partisipan. Partisipan penelitian ini adalah guru IPA SMP Yayasan Pendidikan di Bandung dan penelitian dilakukan selama enam bulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang kebutuhan partisipan, digagaslah program pelatihan guru IPA SMP. Program pelatihan dibagi atas empat pertemuan (I-IV). Kegiatan sharing, pembelajaran aktif dan refleksi menjadi komponen pengisi setiap pertemuan dengan proporsi yang berbeda di dalam setiap pertemuannya. Hal ini sebagai dasar metode pelatihan”Be-Share” yaitu begin with sharing and end with reflection. Metode ini berpusat pada partisipan, di mana partisipan berperan aktif dalam pelatihan. Materi program pelatihan yaitu pembelajaran tematik berbasis masalah lingkungan hidup. Penelitian dilanjutkan pada kelas nyata. Hasil penelitian pada pengembangan saat pelaksanaan program pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa aspek metode pelatihan, teknik komunikasi pelatih dan alokasi waktu menjadi titik perbaikan berdasarkan respon partisipan sebagai bentuk refleksi pada setiap pertemuannya. Dari implementasi program pelatihan, ditemukan bahwa pembelajaran tematik berbasis masalah lingkungan hidup mendapatkan respon positif dari partisipan. Partisipan aktif berdiskusi dalam membuat jejaring/web dengan tema lingkungan hidup berdasarkan masalah lingkungan hidup aktual. Melalui pelatihan, partisipan memperoleh wawasan/pengetahuan baru karena memperoleh materi baru yang inovatif, partisipan melakukan peer teaching, sharing ide sebagai pembelajaran untuk menjadi fasilitator di kelas nyata. Dari hasil analisis perhitungan effect size, terdapat peningkatan nilai penguasaan konsep (sig<0,05) dengan effect size sedang (0,48), penyusunan RPP (sig<0,05) dengan effect size sedang (0,506) dan penyusunan jejaring (sig<0,05) dengan effect size besar (1,371). Dari pertanyaan terkait masalah lingkungan hidup yang diajukan kepada siswa, diperoleh hasil nilai rata-rata jawaban siswa >3,00. Keseluruhan hasil dan dampak pelatihan menunjukkan kesimpulan bahwa program pelatihan guru IPA tentang pembelajaran tematik dengan metode Be-Share efektif. Sebagai rekomendasi, program pelatihan metode “Be Share” pembelajaran tematik berbasis masalah dapat menggunakan tema lain selain tema lingkungan hidup;---Basic idea of this study is to develop a teacher training program that is participant oriented and also can be useful for improving the quality of personal and profession. This study uses the Design and Developmental Research (DDR) research method. This study was prepared based on previous research studies and adapted to the needs of participants. The participants of this study were 20 Junior High School Science Teacher from one Education foundation in Bandung. Based on the results of research on the needs of participants, a junior high school science teacher training program was initiated. The training program is divided into four meetings (I-IV). Sharing, active learning and reflection activities are the components of each meeting with different proportions in each meeting. This was the foundation of the "Be-Share" training method, that is, begin with sharing and end with reflection. This method is participants- centered, where participants play an active role in training. The training program material is thematic learning based on environmental problems. The study was continued in the real class. The results of the research when development during the implementation of the training program showed that the training method, communication techniques and time allocation aspects were the points of improvement based on participant responses as a form of reflection at each meeting. From the implementation of the training program, it was found that thematic learning based on environmental problems received a positive response from participants. Participants actively discuss in networking/web with environmental themes based on actual environmental problems. Through training, participants gained new insights/ knowledge because they obtained new and also innovative material, participants conducted peer teaching, sharing ideas as learning to become facilitators in real classes. From the results of the effect size calculation analysis, there is an increase in the mastery value of the concept (sig <0.05) with a medium effect size (0.48), preparation of lesson plan (sig <0.05) with medium effect size (0.506) and web arrangement (sig <0.05) with a large effect size (1,371). From the questions related to environmental issues submitted to students, the result showed that the average score of students' answers> 3.00. The overall results and impact of the training show the conclusion that the science teacher training program about thematic learning with the Be-Share method is effective. As a recommendation, the problem-based thematic "Be Share" learning method training program can use themes other than environmental themes.
