Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan metode terapi renang dalam meningkatkan kemampuan motorik kasar anak autis di Kampoeng Belajar Swimming Club Bandung. Terapi pada dasarnya perlu diberikan untuk membangun kondisi yang lebih baik. Terapi juga harus rutin dilakukan agar apa yang menjadi kekurangan anak dapat dipenuhi secara bertahap. Pengumpulan data dilakukan observasi dan tes kinerja. Di Kolam Renang Kampoeng Belajar, kegiatan terapi dilakukan dua kali pertemuan dalam seminggu. Hambatan yang dialami oleh anak yaitu kemampuan motorik kasar anak yang kurang, sehingga kemampuan keseimbangan dan aktivitas yang membutuhkan motorik kasar kurang maksimal. Alasan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu karena anak mengalami hambatan ketika melakukan aktivitas yang membutuhkan kemampuan motorik kasar, sehingga diperlukan metode terapi renang yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan anak autis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan eksprimen dengan Single Subject Research (SSR) menggunakan desain A-B-A. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode terapi renang memberikan pengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan motorik kasar pada salah satu anak autis di Kampoeng Belajar Swimming Club Bandung, peningkatan tersebut terlihat dari meningkatnya mean level dari fase baseline-1 (A1) yaitu 33%, ke fase intervensi (B) yaitu 52,5% hingga fase baseline-2 (A2) yaitu 81%. Disarankan untuk menyusun program terapi renang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan motorik kasar dapat menggunakn metode terapi renang, ;---This study aims to apply the method of swimming therapy in improving motor skills roughly autistic children in Kampoeng Belajar Swimming Club Bandung. Therapy basically needs to be given to build better conditions. Therapy should also be routinely done so that what the child lacks can be met gradually. Data was collected by observation and performance test. In Kampoeng Belajar Swimming Pool, therapeutic activities are held twice a week. Obstacles experienced by the child is the ability of rough motor less children so that the ability of balance and activities that require a rough motor less than the maximum. The reason for this study is that children experience obstacles when performing activities that require rough motor skills so that required swimming therapy method that suits the needs of children with autism. The research method used experiment with Single Subject Research (SSR) using A-B-A design. The findings of the study showed that the application of swimming therapy method gives influence to the increase of motor abusive ability in one of autistic children in Kampoeng Belajar Swimming Club Bandung, the increase is seen from the increase of mean level from baseline phase-1 (A1) that is 33%, to intervention phase (B) that is 52,5% until baseline phase 2 (A2) that is 81%. It is advisable to develop a swimming therapy program to improve gross motor skills to use swimming therapy methods.
