Abstract
Learning geographic information systems have various abilities in collecting various spatial data formats, analyzing, displaying, and storing spatial data. The potential of GIS learning in geography is quite large, but its influence on spatial thinking still needs to be studied more deeply. Three problem formulations in this study are: (1) how is the influence of cognitive domain on GIS learning on students 'spatial thinking in SMA/MAN Banda Aceh?, (2) what is the influence of affective domain on GIS learning on students' spatial thinking in SMA/MAN Banda Aceh?, and (3) how does the influence of psychomotor in GIS learning on students' spatial thinking in SMA/MAN Banda Aceh?. This study uses a survey method, the study population is all students of the twelfth grade IPS program in nine SMA/MAN Banda Aceh City. The sampling technique uses stratified random sampling, considering that the population is relatively homogeneous, the research sample is 139 students. The data collection method uses a questionnaire. Data analysis uses simple linear regression. The results showed that: (1) the influence of cognitive domains of GIS learning gave a 75% role to students 'spatial thinking, (2) the effect of effective domains of GIS learning gave a role of 12.4% to students' spatial thinking, and (3) the influence of psychomotor domains GIS learning provides a role of 67.3% of students' spatial thinking.
