Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi yang dibuktikan dengan rata-rata nilai Ujian Akhir Semester ganjil pada siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Rangkasbitung tahun ajaran 2018/2019 berada di bawah Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimum (KKM). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi guru dan self-confidence terhadap hasil belajar. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Rangkasbitung tahun ajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 314 siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah survei eksplanatori dan teknik analisis data yaitu analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (i) kompetensi guru berada pada kategori tinggi; self-confidence pada kategori tinggi; dan hasil belajar berada pada kategori sedang. (ii) kompetensi pedagogik guru berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar; (iii) kompetensi professional guru berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar; (iv) kompetensi kepribadian guru tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar; (v) kompetensi sosial guru tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar; (vi) self-confidence berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar.----------This research is motivated by student learning outcomes in economic subjects as evidenced bye average results of the final semester evaluation of the 2018/2019 academic year which is still less than the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) of class XI IPS in State Senior High Schools in Rangkasbitung. This study aims to determine the effect of teacher competence and self-confidence on student learning outcomes in State Senior High Schools in Rangkasbitung.. The population in this study were students of class XI IPS Senior High School in Rangkasbitung of the 2018/2019 academic year as many as 314 students. The method used is explanatory survey and data analysis techniques, namely multiple regression analysis with mediating variables. The results of the study show that: (i) teacher competence in the high category; self-confidence in the high category; and learning outcomes in the middle category. (ii) teacher pedagogic competence have a positive effect on learning outcomes; (iii) teacher professional competence have a positive effect on learning outcomes; (iv) teacher personality competence have not effect on learning outcomes; (v) teacher social competence have not effect on learning outcomes; (vi) self-confidence have a positive effect on learning outcomes.
