Abstract

PENGARUH KELOMPOK TEMAN SEBAYA DALAM EKSTRAKURIKULER TERHADAP MOTIVASI BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK DI SMPN 1 MARGAASIH Oleh: Ma’Arij Dibimbing oleh: Mamat Ruhimat dan Jupri Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh hasil observasi di SMPN 1 Margaasih. Peneliti mendapatkan informasi bahwa para siswa di sekolah ini telah memiliki kelompok teman sebayanya sendiri-sendiri, yang dalam pemilihannya tidak ditentukan oleh jenjang kelas (sekolah) dan tidak harus dalam satu kelas. Selain itu, rata-rata dalam satu kelompok memiliki minat atau kesenangaan serta pola tingkah laku yang sama. Jika dalam suatu kelompok ada anggota kelompok yang memiliki prestasi baik, anggota yang lainnya akan termotivasi untuk menjadi identik atau berusaha untuk meraih hasil yang tidak jauh beda. Peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui tanggapan siswa terhadap kelompok teman sebaya dalam ekstrakurikuler, besar kecenderungan motivasi belajar yang terjadi pada kelompok teman sebaya dalam ekstrakurikuler, dan menganalisis hubungan antara kelompok teman sebaya dalam ekstrakurikuler terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah Analisis Regresi Sederhana. Populasi penelitian ialah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di SMPN 1 Margaasih dengan total 219 Peserta didik. Sampel penelitian yang digunakan yaitu siswa kelas VIII yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler KIR IPS, PMR, dan Paskibra di SMPN 1 Margaasih dengan jumlah 60 peserta didik. Pengolahan dan analisis data menggunakan bantuan Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) versi 21, dengan uji statistik Korelasi Pearson. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan dan analisis data, diperoleh hasil bahwa kondisi teman sebaya dalam ekstrakurikuler KIR IPS, PMR, dan Paskibra di SMPN 1 Margaasih berada dalam kategori baik. Sedangkan untuk kecenderungan motivasi belajar peserta didik di SMPN 1 Margaasih dapat dikatakan kuat. Hasil perhitungan korelasi menunjukan bahwa adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara teman sebaya dalam ekstrakurikuler terhadap motivasi belajar siswa di SMPN 1 Margaasih. Kata Kunci: Teman Sebaya Dalam Ekstrakurikuler, Motivasi Belajar THE INFLUENCE OF PEOPLE FRIENDS IN EXTRACURRICULAR AGAINST LEARNING MOTIVATION STUDENTS AT SMPN 1 MARGAASIH By: Ma’Arij Supervised by: Mamat Ruhimat and Jupri This research is motivated by the results of observations at SMPN 1 Margaasih. The researcher attains information that students in this school already have their own group of peers whose election is not determined by the level of class (school) and does not have to be in one class. In addition, the average in one group has the same interests or pleasures and behavioral patterns. If in a group there are group members who have excellent achievements, other members will be motivated to have similar achievement or to try to achieve results which are not much different. Researcher is interested in conducting this work with the aim to find out students' responses to their peer groups in extracurricular activities, the large tendencies of learning motivation which occur in peer groups in extracurricular activities, and to analyze the relationships between peer groups in extracurricular activities towards student motivation. The research method used in this work is Simple Regression Analysis. The study population consists ofthe students of classVIII at SMPN 1Margaasih with a total of 219 participants. The research sample used is the eighth grade students who took part in KIR IPS, PMR, and Paskibra extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Margaasih with a total of 60 students. The processing and analysis of data utilize the help of Statistical Program for Social Science (SPSS) version 21, with the Pearson Correlation statistical test. In accordance to the results of data processing and analysis, it is found that the condition of peers in KIR IPS, PMR, and Paskibra extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Margaasih is in good category. On the other hand, the tendency of students' learning motivation in SMPN 1 Margaasih can be perceived to be strong. Correlation of calculation results shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between peers in extracurricular toward student learning motivation at SMPN 1 Margaasih.
