Abstract

ABSTRAK Laporan penelitian ini memaparkan hasil penelitian yang ditujukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh iklim kelas terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya meningatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMK, dimana siswa SMK dituntut untuk menguasai berbagai bidang keahlian sehingga mereka siap bekerja. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan kausalitas diantara variabel yang diteliti adalah survey dimana data diperoleh menggunakan dua set angket yang disebarkan kepada 53 orang responden yang menjadi populasi total dalam penelitian ini. Data diolah menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif untuk mengetahui gambaran setiap variabel dan analisis inferensial untuk mengetahui besaran pengaruh diantara variabel tersebut. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan iklim kelas berada pada kategori kondusif dan motivasi belajar siswa berada pada kategori sedang. Sedangkan hasil analisis inferensial menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari iklim kelas terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Peningkatan keterlibatan siswa disertai peningkatan hasrat untuk belajar dengan pemberian penghargaan terhadap setiap capaian yang mereka peroleh menjadi tiga hal utama yang harus ditingkatkan untuk meningkatkan motivasi siswa dalam belajar. Kata kunci: Iklim kelas, motivasi belajar siswa ABSTRACT This writing explains about result of the research that has purposes to understand classroom climate effect to student motivation on learning. The important of increasing SMK student motivation on learning has become the background of this research, considering those students are required to mastering several fields where they will finally be ready to face the actual works. The method that used to find out relation of causality between variables is survey where the data is collected using two set of questionnaires that been shared to 53 respondents which is became total population in this research. Data is analyzed with statistics descriptive to know the description in every variable and inferential analysis to know the effect between those variable. The result of descriptive analysis show that classroom climate is in condusive category and student motivation on learning is in average category. Whereas result of inferential analysis shows thar there is some significant influence form classroom climate to student motivation on learning. The increase of student involvement followed by the increase of studying desire with the given of reward to every echievement they have gained become three main things that must be improved to improve student motivation on learning.
