Abstract

Ruang praktik sebagai penunjang dalam proses pembelajaran perlu didukung dengan rancangan ruang yang baik dan dilengkapi sarana dan prasarana yang sesuai dengan standar. Namun, pada ruang praktik yang dimiliki DPTM FPTK UPI terjadi penumpukan alat dan keterbatasan luas ruang praktikum. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara nyata kondisi eksisting ruang, sarana dan prasarana serta sirkulasi dalam memenuhi alur kegiatan di ruang praktik tersebut. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Teknik Pengerjaan Logam, Laboratorium Teknik Pengecoran Logam, dan Laboratorium Teknik Permesinan dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dosen dan mahasiswa DPTM FPTK UPI. Teknik Pengumpulan data meliputi obeservasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan uji validitas triangulasi dan dibandingkan dengan peraturan Dirjen Pendidikan Tinggi Tahun 2004. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi eksisting di Laboratorium Teknik Pengerjaan Logam memiliki kesesuaian dengan standar sebanyak 76%, Laboratorium Teknik Pengecoran logam sebanyak 33 %, dan Laboratorium Teknik Permesinan sebanyak 0%. Sarana dan prasarana di Laboratorium Teknik Pengerjaan Logam memiliki kesesuaian dengan standar sebanyak 70% dan 80%, di Laboratorium Teknik Pengecoran Logam sebanyak 33% dan 50%, dan Laboratorium Teknik Permesinan sebanyak 68,75% dan 60%. Sirkulasi dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan alur kegiatan diperoleh kesesuaian dengan standar sirkulasi sebanyak 67% pada Laboratorium Teknik Pengerjaan Logam, 17% pada Laboratorium Teknik Pengecoran Logam dan 60% pada Laboratorium Teknik Permesinan. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ruang praktik di DPTM FPTK UPI kondisi eksisting tidak sesuai dengan standar ruang, sarana dan prasarana sudah sesuai dengan standar sarana dan prasarana, serta sirkulasi ruang tidak sesuai dengan standar ruang dalam memenuhi alur kegiatan.-- The laboratory as a support in the learning process needs to be supported by a good space design and equipped with facilities and infrastructure in accordance with the standards. However, in the practice space of the DPTM FPTK UPI there was a buildup of equipment and a wide range of practicum rooms. Therefore, this study aims to find out clearly the existing conditions of space, facilities and infrastructure and circulation in meeting the flow of activities in the laboratory room. This research was carried out in the Metal Engineering Laboratory, Metal Casting Engineering Laboratory, and Mechanical Engineering Laboratory using qualitative research methods. The subjects of this study were lecturers and DPTM students of the FPTK UPI. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation by testing the validity of triangulation and compared with the regulations of the Director General of Higher Education in 2004. The results showed that the existing conditions in the Metal Engineering Laboratory had a standard of 76%, metal casting engineering laboratories 33%, and the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory as much as 0%. Facilities and infrastructure in the Metal Engineering Laboratory have conformity with the standards of 70% and 80%, in the Metal Casting Engineering Laboratory as much as 33% and 50%, and the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory as much as 68.75% and 60%. Circulation in fulfilling the needs of the activity flow was obtained in accordance with circulation standards as much as 67% in the Metal Processing Engineering Laboratory, 17% in the Metal Casting Engineering Laboratory and 60% in the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. Therefore can be concluded that the laboratory space in the DPTM FPTK UPI Existing Condition is not in accordance with the standard of space, facilities and infrastructure are in accordance with the standard of facilities and infrastructure, and the circulation of space is not in accordance with the standard of space in meeting the flow of activities.
