Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul Tari Jaipongan Setra Sari Karya Gugum Gumbira di Padepokan Jugala dengan narasumber Gugum Gumbira Tirasondjaya. Penelitian ini dirumuskan untuk mengetahui bagai mana ide cerita, koreografi, rias, busana, musik, dan makna gerak pada tari Jaipongan Setra Sari Karya Gugum Gumbira. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis melalui kajian Etnokoreologi. Secara tekstual Etnokoreologi memiliki teori tentang gerak. Ada 4 gerak yang dimiliki oleh tari, yaitu Locomotion (berpindah tempat), Pure Movement (gerak murni), Gesture (gerak maknawi), dan Baton Signal (penguat ekspresi). Berdasarkan kajian Etnokoreologi maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Locomotion (berpindah tempat) terdapat 12 macam gerak yang di wakili oleh Simpai Sari, Pure Movement (gerak murni) terdapat 31 macam ragam gerak yang diwakili oleh Ngalagena, dan Gesture (gerak maknawi) terdapat 7 ragam gerak yang diwakili oleh Gelis Damis. Rias busana pada tari ini mengacu pada rias corecctive. Busana tari Jaipongan Setra Sari terdiri dari hiasan kepala yang digunakan bernama mahkota, menggunakan kebaya, sinjang, selendang dan sabuk. Warna putih, kuning, dan merah muda menjadi warna yang dominan dalam tatarias dan busana yang digunakan pada tarian tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa tari Jaipongan Setra Sari adalah salah satu tarian yang diciptakan oleh Gugum Gumbira. Dalam ragam gerak tari Jaipongan Setra Sari, gerak Pure Movement merupakan gerak yang dominan mempunyai kesan tenang dan sederhama namun memiliki teknik gerak yang sulit. This research was formulated to find out how the story ideas, choreography, makeup, clothing, music, and the meaning of motion in the Jaipongan Setra Sari Dance by Gugum Gumbira. The research method used is descriptive analysis through ethnochoreology studies, which focus on the text section and the context of the dance. Textually ethnochoreology has a theory of motion. There are 4 movements that are owned by dance, namely Locomotion (changing places), Pure Movement (pure motion), Gesture (meaningful motion), and Baton Signal (expression amplifier). Based on Ethnological studies it can be concluded that Locomotion (moving place) has 12 kinds of motion represented by Simpai Sari, Pure Movement has 31 kinds of motion represented by Ngalagena, and Gesture (carnal movement) has 7 different movements represented by Gelis Damis. Dressing up in this dance refers to the corecctive dressing. The Jaipongan Setra Sari dance dress consists of a headdress that is called a crown, using a necklace, a sash, a scarf and a belt. White, yellow, and pink are the dominant colors of the dance and the dress used in the dance. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the Setra Sari Jaipongan dance is one of the dances created by Gugum Gumbira. In the variety of Jaipongan Setra Sari dance movements, the movement of Pure Movement is a dominant motion that has the impression of calm and simplicity but has difficult motion techniques.
