Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh banyaknya kasus cheating academic behavior yang menyeret nama besar lembaga pendidikan tinggi. Cheating academic behavior yang terjadi, mulai dari kasus paling ringan sampai paling berat. Cheating academic behavior yang dilakukan mahasiswa dikhawatirkan akan melahirkan generasi-generasi curang. Hal ini bias saja meningkatkan potensi korupsi, kolusi dan nepotisme yang sedang kita perangi Bersama di seluruh aspek kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model fraud triangle dalam memprediksi cheating academic behavior pada mahasiswa FPEB UPI. Responden yang terlibat sebanyak 356 orang yang terdiri dari 7 (tujuh) program studi dengan melakukan penyebaran angket selama 3 pekan dalam bentuk google form dan kertas. Dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda, diketahui bahwa pressure, opportunity dan rationalization berpengaruh positif terhadap cheating academic behavior dengan persamaan CHEAT = 3,429 + 0,122 Pre + 0,131 Opp + 0,475 Rat + e. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah dapat diketyahui factor pendorong yang membuat mahasiswa melakukan cheating academic behavior dan dapat diketahui tindakan-tindakan pencegahan agar cheaiting academic behavior dapat dikurangi bahkan dihilangkan. This research is motivated by the many cases of cheating academic behavior that drag the name of higher education institutions. Cheating academic behavior that occurs, ranging from the mildest to the most severe cases. It is feared that cheating academic behavior by students will give birth to fraudulent generations. This can only increase the potential for corruption, collusion and nepotism that we are fighting together in all aspects of Indonesian people's lives. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the fraud triangle model in predicting cheating academic behavior on FPEB UPI students. Respondents involved as many as 356 people consisting of 7 (seven) study programs by distributing questionnaires for 3 weeks in the form of Google forms and papers. Using multiple regression analysis, it is known that pressure, opportunity and rationalization have a positive effect on cheating academic behavior with the CHEAT equation = 3.429 + 0.122 Pre + 0.131 Opp + 0.475 Rat + e. The implication of this research is to know the driving factors that make students cheating academic behavior and can be known to preventive measures so that cheatinging academic behavior can be reduced or even eliminated.
