Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ketersedian guru Sekolah Dasar yang dibutuhkan berdasarkan proyeksi pertumbuhan penduduk usia sekolah pada Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Garut. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Garut, menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan perhitungan proyeksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan sumber data primer dan data sekunder, melalui Studi Dokumentasi, dan Wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, input data, dan pengolahan data menggunakan metode proyeksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan penduduk usia sekolah menjadi salah satu faktor penentu kebutuhan guru Sekolah Dasar. Guru Sekolah Dasar yang dibutuhkan pada tahun 2020-2025 mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan Pemerintah Kabupaten Garut dalam hal ini Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Garut, dapat melakukan peninjauan mengenai keadaan guru baik dari segi kuantitas maupun kualitas berupa perencanaan yang tepat dan komprehensif sebagai tolak ukur dalam menindaklanjuti berbagai temuan yang dilakukan oleh Tim Kepegawaian Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Garut; The purpose of this study was to determine the availability of primary teachers needs through social demand approach at the Department of Education Garut. This research was conducted at the Department of Education Garut, using descriptive quantitative research methods with projection calculation. Data collection technique used primer data sources and secondary data through documentation study and interviews. Data were analyzed using data collection, data input, and data processing using the projection method. The results showed that the growth of the school age population becomes a determining factor for the needs of elementary school teachers. Recommendations from this study are expected Garut Government in this case the Department of Education Garut , can conduct a review of the state of teachers in terms of both quantity and quality in the form of proper planning and comprehensive as a benchmark to follow up the findings made by a team of Personnel Department of Education Garut.
