Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengaruh kemampuan literasi media terhadap pemanfaatan konten line today. Dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena media sosial yang semakin gencar dalam mendistribusikan informasi yang secara tidak langsung menuntut pembaca dalam memiliki kemampuan literasi media. Line today menjadi salah satu media penyaji informasi di kalangan mahasiswa yang banyak digunakan sehingga memiliki kemampuan literasi media sangat penting untuk menghadapi permasalahan tersebut. Permasalahan umum yang dikaji pada penelitian ini yaitu bagaimana pengaruh kemampuan literasi media dengan pemanfaatan konten line today pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif, dan analisis data menggunakan uji regresi sederhana. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa jurusan perpusinfo angkatan 2017 yang telah mengontrak mata kuliah literasi informasi, media cetak noncetak dan manajemen sistem informasi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa angket dengan pernyataan positif. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah teknik cluster sampling dengan jumlah responden 39 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pengaruh kemampuan literasi media terhadap pemanfaatan konten line today memiliki pengaruh yang kuat. Secara khusus hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran kemampuan literasi media mahasiswa pada aspek technical skills, critical understanding dan communicative abilities berada dalam kategori baik. --------- This study aimed to determine the effect of the ability of media literacy on the use of line today content. It is motivated by the phenomenon of social media which is increasingly aggressively distributing information that indirectly requires readers to have media literacy capabilities. Line today has become one of the most commonly used media for presenting information among students, so that having media literacy skills is very important for dealing with these problems. A general problem examined in this study is how to influence the ability of media literacy with the use of line today content on students. This research uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods, and data analysis uses simple regression tests. The population in this study were 2017 students majoring in library and technology who had contracted information literacy courses, non-print print media and information systems management. Data collection techniques using research instruments in the form of a questionnaire with positive statements. The sampling technique used was cluster sampling technique with 39 respondents. Based on the results of the study showed that the effect of media literacy ability on the use of line today content has a strong influence. Specifically the results of the study showed that the description of students' media literacy abilities in the aspects of technical skills, critical understanding and communicative abilities was in the good category.
