Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena bahasa yang terjadi di Twitter, berkaitan dengan adanya pelecehan verbal yang ditujukan kepada laki-laki. Terdapat pro dan kontra dalam tuturan tersebut berdasarkan gender. Peneliti menganalisis seksisme dalam tuturan di Twitter pascaajang Asian Games 2018 dengan menggunakan pendekatan sosiopragmatik karena pendekatan tersebut mengkaji maksud tuturan yang berdimensi sosial. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah (1) untuk mengetahui jenis dan klasifikasi tindak tutur ilokusi mengenai seksisme dalam tuturan di Twitter pasca-ajang Asian Games 2018 dengan menggunakan teori klasifikasi jenis dan fungsi tindak tutur dari Searle (1969), (2) untuk mengetahui validitas tuturan seksisme dalam Twitter pasca-ajang Asian Games 2018 dari Austin (1962), (3) untuk mengetahui persepsi tuturan masyarakat terhadap tuturan seksisme di Twitter pasca-ajang Asian Games 2018. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Temuan analisis tindak tutur pada penelitian ini adalah 92% merupakan tindak tutur ilokusi asertif karena mayoritas tuturan berkaitan dengan kebenaran dengan 65% data tidak valid karena mayoritas tuturan tidak memenuhi syarat validitas.------- This research is motivated by the phenomenon of language that occurs on Twitter, related to the existence of verbal abuse directed at men. There are pros and cons in speech based on gender. Researchers analyzed sexism in speech on Twitter after the 2018 Asian Games using a sociopragmatic approach because it examined the purpose of speech with a social dimension. The objectives of this study are (1) to find out the type and classification of illocutionary speech acts regarding sexism in speech on Twitter after the 2018 Asian Games by using the theory of speech type and function classification from Searle (1969), (2) to determine the validity of sexism speech in Twitter after the 2018 Asian Games event from Austin (1962), (3) to find out the perception of public speech about sexism utterances on Twitter after the 2018 Asian Games event. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods. The findings of speech acts analysis in this study are 92% are assertive illocutionary speech acts, because the majority of speeches are related to truth with 65% of invalid data, because the majority of speeches do not meet the validity requirements.
