    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi proses dukungan sosial dan faktor subjektif penyebab cheerleader laki-laki bertahan pada kegemarannya di bidang olahraga cheerleading. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah tiga orang berusia 19 tahun, 20 tahun, dan 22 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan wawancara, dan teknik analisis data menggunakan open axial coding. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dua subjek (IS dan GI) pernah merasakan dipandang sebelah mata selama menjadi cheerleader dan satu subjek lainnya (PA) tidak pernah. Ketiga subjek mendapatkan berbagai dukungan dari teman-teman di tim cheerleading. Hal ini memunculkan motivasi untuk berkembang menjadi lebih baik. Sehingga, tetap mencintai passion atau kegemaran pada olahraga cheerleading mendapatkan penguatan yang positif.;--This study aims to explore the description of social support and how male cheerleader stays in cheerleading passion. Subjects in this study amounted of three people aged 19 years, 20 years, and 22 years. Data collection techniques were carried out using interviews, and data analysis techniques used open axial coding. The results of this study are the two subjects (IS and GI) used to felt underestimated and one subject (PA) never does. The three subjects get various supports from their team mates. This raises the motivation to develop for the better. With the result that loving the cheerleading passion gets positive reinforcement.
