Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tipe kepribadian dengan gaya manajemen konflik. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 280 siswa SMA “X” di Kota Bandung yang diambil menggunakan teknik incidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan analisis data menggunakan korelasi rank spearman. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Eysenk Personality Inventory (EPI) untuk mengukur tipe kepribadian ekstrovert-introvert dan Rahim Organizationel Conflict Inventory-II (ROCI-II) untuk mengukur gaya manajemen konflik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: 1) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian ekstrovert dengan gaya manajemen konflik integrating, dominating, avoiding dan compromising, 2) tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian ekstrovert dengan gaya manajemen konflik obliging, 3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian introvert dengan gaya manajemen konflik integrating, dominating, avoiding dan compromising, 4) Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tipe kepribadian introvert dengan gaya manajemen konflik obliging.;--This study aimed to find the relationship between extrovert-introvert personality type and conflict management style. The sample in this study were 280 students of Senior High School “X” in Bandung City taken using incidental sampling technique. This study used quantitative design and the data is analyzed by spearman rank correlation technique. The instruments used was Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) to measure extrovert-introvert personality type, and Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory (ROCI-II) to conflict management style. The results showed that: 1) there was a significant relationship among extrovert personality and integrating, dominating, avoiding and compromising conflict management style, 2) there was no relationship between extrovert personality and obliging conflict management style, 3) there was a significant relationship among introvert personality and integrating, dominating, avoiding and compromising conflict management style, 4) there was no relationship between introvert personality and obliging conflict management style.
