Abstract

Museum Negeri Provinsi Jawa Barat atau yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Museum Sri Baduga, merupakan salah satu Museum Karya Budaya mengenai Jawa Barat yang mendukung salah satu program pemerintah yaitu Visit Museum Year. Sebagai wisata sejarah, museum ini mengalami penurunan tingkat kunjungan pada tahun 2011. Beberapa upaya peningkatan kunjungan dilakukan salah satunya yaitu program special event yang rutin diadakan setiap tahunnya diharapkan dapat memiliki pengaruh yang efektif dalam meningkatkan jumlah kunjungan ke Museum Sri Baduga Bandung. Program kegiatan special event Museum Sri Baduga Bandung di adaptasi dari teori special event Donald Getz (2007:212) dengan dimensi yang digunakan adalah setting, theme and programme design, services, dan consumables. Teori proses keputusan berkunjung yang digunakan adalah menurut I. Gede Pitana dan Putu G. Gayatri (2005:72) dengan dimensi yang digunakan adalah kebutuhan atau keinginan untuk melakukan perjalanan, pencarian dan penilaian informasi, keputusan melakukan perjalanan wisata, persiapan perjalanan dan pengalaman wisata dan keputusan melakukan perjalanan wisata. Premis yang mendukung penelitian ini adalah Brown (2002), Journal Resource Guide to The Impact of Events (2007), Donald Getz (2007), Riset PPM Manajemen (2008), dan Kotler Keller (2012). Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dan verifikatif dengan menggunakan metode explanatory survey. Sampel penelitian yaitu sebanyak 100 wisatawan dengan menggunakan teknik penarikan sampel systematic sampling dan untuk teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa efektivitas special event berpengaruh sebesar 39,9% terhadap proses keputusan berkunjung ke Museum Sri Baduga Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan SPSS 16.0 for windows diperoleh persamaan regresi yaitu Y=7,234+0,494x1+0,474x2+(-0,127x3)+0,48x4. Secara simultan berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan efektivitas special event yang terdiri dari setting, theme and programme design, services dan consumables berpengaruh signifikan terhadap proses keputusan berkunjung ke Museum Sri Baduga Bandung, namun secara parsial dimensi services tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap proses keputusan berkunjung ke Museum Sri Baduga Bandung. Kata Kunci: efektivitas special event, proses keputusan berkunjung State Museum of West Java province, or better known as the Sri Baduga Museum, is one of the Museum's works on the culture of West Java that supports one of the government's programs Visit Museum Year. As a historical tour, museum visit rates decreased in 2011. Some efforts to increase visits were made one of which is a local exhibition program / roving which is regularly held every year, is expected to have an effective influence in increasing the number of visits to the Museum Sri Baduga Bandung. Program exhibitions of local/mobile Sri Baduga Museum Bandung adaptation of the theory of special event Donald Getz (2007:212) with the dimensions used is setting, theme and program design, services, and consumables. Decision theory been used is by I. Putu Gede Pitana and G. Gayatri (2005:72) with a dimension that is used is the need or desire to travel, search and assessment information, the decision to travel preparation, travel and tourism experience and the decision to travel. The premise of this research is supporting Brown (2002), Journal Resource Guide to The Impact of Events (2007), Donald Getz (2007), PPM Research Management (2008), Kotler and Keller (2012). This type of research is descriptive and verification using explanatory survey. Study sample as many as 100 travelers using systematic sampling techniques for sampling and data analysis techniques used in this study is multiple linear regressions. The results of this study stated that the effectiveness of special exhibition event / effect round by 39.9% against the decision to the Sri Baduga Museum Bandung. Based on the calculation of SPSS 16.0 for windows derived regression equation is Y = 7.234 +0.494 x1 +0.474 x2 + (x3 -0.127) +0.48 x4. Simultaneously based on hypothesis testing demonstrated the effectiveness of local special exhibition event / tour that consisted of setting, theme and program design, services and consumables significant effect to the decision of Sri Baduga Museum Bandung, however partial services dimension does not significantly influence the decision to the Sri Baduga Museum Bandung.
