Abstract

Tugas akhir ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penyebab motor starter tidak bisa menggerakan/memutarkan flywheel, dengan proses yang dilakukan yaitu melakukan pemeriksaan dan perhitungan pada motor starter planetary engine tipe 2TR FE kendaraan Toyota Fortuner. Laporan tugas akhir ini menggunakan metode observasi, dokumentasi dan penulisan laporan. Observasi yang dilakukan yaitu mengamati kinerja unit motor starter yakni pemeriksaan magnetic switch (solenoid), kinerja pada saat kondisi tanpa beban dan dengan beban. Dokumentasi yang digunakan untuk mencari data-data yang berhubungan dengan topik tugas akhir dari buku, jurnal, maupun internet. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pemeriksaan/perawatan dan perhitungan pada motor starter planetary engine tipe 2TR FE menunjukan bahwa motor starter dalam kondisi baik namun pada saat pengujian arus tanpa beban menunjukan bahwa hasilnya tidak sesuai dengan spesifikasi Repair Manual. Kata kunci: perawatan, perhitungan, sistem starter planetary engine tipe 2TR FE, Fortuner 2011. ------ This final project aims to determine the cause of the starter motor can not move / rotate the flywheel, with the process carried out, namely checking and calculating the starter motor planetary engine type 2TR FE of the Toyota Fortuner vehicle. This final report uses the method of observation, documentation and report writing. The observations made were observing the performance of the starter motor unit namely magnetic switch (solenoid) inspection, performance during no-load and load conditions. Documentation used to search for data related to the final project topic from books, journals, and the internet. The results obtained from the inspection / maintenance and calculation on the planetary engine type 2TR FE starter motor show that the starter motor is in good condition but when testing the no-load current shows that the results are not in accordance with the Repair Manual specifications.
