Abstract

Suatu proses pendidikan formal sangat erat kaitannya dengan kurikulum. Proses pendidikan senantiasa dihadapkan pada sejumlah permasalahan yang nyaris tidak terpecahkan, salah satu permasalahan pendidikan di Indonesia saat ini adalah masalah relevansi kurikulum, terkait dengan persoalan relevansi hingga saat ini masih belum menunjukkan adanya keterkaitan yang erat antara Universitas Pendidikan Kejuruan dengan Sekolah Menengah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana relevansi kurikulum program studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro di Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dengan kebutuhan kompetensi guru jurusan Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik di Indramayu yang berfokus pada materi mata pelajaran pada jurusan Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik SMK Negeri di Indramayu dengan materi mata kuliah pada Pendidikan Teknik Tenaga Elektrik FPTK Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Adapun metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 9 mata pelajaran yang dibutuhkan guru untuk mengajar di jurusan Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik SMK Negeri di Indramayu 6 mata pelajaran sangat relevan, 1 mata pelajaran cukup relevan, dan 2 mata pelajaran tidak relevan dengan materi mata kuliah Pendidikan Teknik Tenaga Elektrik Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Demikian juga dengan alat praktikum yang ada di Pendidikan Teknik Tenaga Elektrik sudah sangat relevan dengan kebutuhan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri di Indramayu. --------- A formal education process is very closely discussed with the curriculum. The education process is always spent on some of the issues issued that are not resolved, one of the problems of education in Indonesia today is the problem of curriculum relevance, related to the relevance of the current issues that still do not take into account the relationship associated with Vocational Education University and Secondary Schools. The purpose of this study was to study the relevance of the curriculum of the Electrical Engineering Education study program at the University of Education in Indonesia with the needs of teachers majoring in Electric Power Installation Engineering in Indramayu who require subject matter in the Department of Electric Power Installation Engineering at State Vocational Schools in Indramayu with course material on Education in Power Engineering Electricity FPTK Indonesia University of Indonesia. As a research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative survey. 9 subjects required by teachers to teach in the Department of Electrical Power Engineering in State Vocational Schools in Indramayu. 6 subjects are very relevant, 1 subject is quite relevant, and 2 subjects are not relevant to the subject matter of Electrical Engineering Education at the Indonesian University of Education. Likewise, the practicum in Electrical Power Engineering Education is already very relevant to the needs of the State Vocational High School in Indramayu.
