Abstract

Pembelajaran peduli lingkungan peserta didik Sekolah Dasar tidak hanya pada pendidikan lingkungan saja, tetapi juga perlu diberikan penguatan terhadap perilaku peserta didik tersebut. Penguatan diberikan melalui sebuah program yang didesain dan dikembangkan untuk memodifikasi perilaku peserta didik yang didasarkan pada pengkondisian operan dengan menggunakan penguatan sistematis terhadap perilaku target. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perilaku peduli lingkungan peserta didik kelas I Sekolah Dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan pretest-postest control group design. Alat ukur penelitian berupa behavior checklist. Partisipan penelitian sebanyak 56 peserta didik kelas I Sekolah Dasar Negeri 196 Sukarasa Bandung (27 peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan 29 peserta didik kelas kontrol). Data penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan Mann Whitney. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai skor peduli lingkungan signifikansi 0.000 (p<0.005) artinya H1 tidak ditolak yang berarti terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan sesudah intervensi program modifikasi perilaku melalui token ekonomi. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan program modifikasi perilaku dengan token ekonomi dapat meningkatkan perilaku peduli lingkungan peserta didik Sekolah Dasar. Environmental caring learning of Elementary school students is not merely on the environmental education but also needs reinforcement towards the behaviour of students. This reinforcement was given through a program designed and developed to modify operant conditioning-based students' behaviour by using systematic reinforcement of target behavior. This study aims to improve environmentally caring behavior of the first-class students of elementary school. The method used was a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The measurement instrument was a behaviour checklist. The subjects of study were 56 first-class students of Sukarasa State Elementary Schools 196, Bandung (27 students of experimental class and 29 students of control class).The data were analyzed by using Mann Whitney. The analysis results showed the significance of environmental concern behaviour 0,000 (p<0.005). It means that H1 is not rejected which means there are differences before and after the intervention of behavior modification program through token economy.The conclusion of this study indicates the behavior modification program using token economy enables elementary school students to improve the environmental concern behavior.
