Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum tergalinya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPA. Belum tergalinya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa bisa dilihat dari banyaknya siswa yang memperoleh nilai dibawah standar ketuntasan minimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan penerapan pendekatan inkuiri. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Tiap siklus meliputi kegiatan perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat tergali lebih baik melalui pendekatan inkuiri. This article explains that the ability of students’ critical thingking was not explored in the science subject. It was shown there were many students reach score below of the student standart achievement. The aim of this reseach is to improve students’ ability of critical thingking by using inquiry approach. The method of this reseach is action reseach which consist of planning, action, observing and reflecting. The result found that were achievement the ability of students’ critical thingking by inquiry approach.
